In the pre-match press conference dedicated for the match between Al Ain and Al Dhafra, the Croatia’s Head Coach of Al Ain First Football Team Zoran Mamic underscored how important it is that his squad win the coming match against Al Dhafra, which will be held on Saturday 11th November at Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium as part of Group 1 matchweek3 of the Arabian Gulf Cup.

“All matches in all competitions are very important for Al Ain. Therefore, my squad will do their best to win Al Dhafra and improve the team’s position in Group 1 standing table,” added he.

Commenting on a question on his assessment of the competitor, he stated: “Al Dhafra is a very good team and we do not think that our task will be easy given that the absence of international players and injured players. However, we are meant to deal with the current circumstances and win the match to guarantee to qualify to the quarter finals of this group.”

On his opinion with regard to the penalty recently imposed by the Disciplinary Committee on the team’s captain, Omar Abdel Rahman, while dismissing the case of Al Wahda player who deliberately hit and injured Shiotani, he said: “Unquestionably, it is not a good thing. Personally, I prefer not to talk about those penalties because the decision has already been issued and become a reality. Indeed, we cannot change it and we have to accept it.”
