In his introductory statement in the pre-match press conference of his team against Al Nasr in the matchweek 2 of the Arabian Gulf Cup, Al Ain player Mohammed Khalfan stressed that it is important for Al Ain to push themselves to the limit and sustain achieving the great positive results in all the team’s coming matches.

Commenting on a question on his team’s preparations for the coming confrontation, he said: “All is going well as planned and on the right track. Our head coach has already developed the tactical plans and we are executing them during the pre-match training sessions and correct mistakes during the lectures.” He added: “We do understand what we are meant to do in the coming match where we are facing a quality team with skilled and experienced players. We are required to be fully ready and be on alert since the first until the last minute of the match.”

Khalfan stressed that Zoran Mamic is an exceptional head coach and knows well how to deal and prepare the young players in the right manner and be ready for any challenge. “I wish all the best to my team and to be able to win the match in line with our great ambitions and in the way that make our fans happy and satisfied,” said he.

Responding to a question on the secret behind the team’s remarkable performance in matchweek1 of the league, he said: “Certainly, the support of our management, head coach, first team experienced players and the loyal fans standing behind us all the times in the stadium and through social networks were the prominent reasons and factors that boosted our confidence in ourselves and potentials to defend the logo of our dearest team. At any rate, we have to forget about that math and be ready for a new and critical challenge that requires exerting sincere efforts to ensure winning our guest team.”

He stated: “Our goal in the coming match is to exhibit our genuine collective efforts and perform well even better than we showed during Al Sharjah match. I hope to see the massive number of loyal Ainawis we accustomed to see in the standing of Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium during the coming match which mark our first match in our stadium in the current season.”
