Zoran Mamic, Head Coach of Al Ain First Football Team, stressed during the pre-match press conference dedicated for the play-off match between his team and the home team, Al Rayyan, that his team’s last match in the stage group of the AFC Champions League scheduled to be held on Monday 16th April 2016 is so important. He stressed the fact that he respects the opponent’s aspirations, but he is “highly confident that my team is able to achieve a great result. I do look forward to perform well and be able to achieve the result we desire to achieve and move ahead to the knockout stage.”

As for Al Ain’s absent players, he stated: “We will be missing the efforts of Ismail Ahmed and Mohamed Abdul Rahman due to suspension. However, the team has the right and ready substitutes and all players reached the required level of readiness for this match.”

“I am sure the situation will not be good for the opponent team and I wish him a speedy recovery,” said he in response to a question on the absence of Al Rayyan’s forward player during Monday’s match. He added: “But as I have already mentioned to you, I give full attention to my team’s conditions and definitely will do our best and take advantage of the opponent’s circumstances optimally to achieve the required result.”

Commenting on his expectations of the courses of the coming match, he said: “It is very difficult to predict what will happen specially in the world of football, but I would like to assure you that Al Ain always adopts the offence technique against all competitors.” He signed off: “Al Ain’s major goal is to win with all due respect to the opponent’s aspirations.”
