Al Ain’s 2nd Electronic Football Tournament of FIFA 23 professionals was concluded at the Chairman’s Lounge in Hazza bin Zayed Stadium. The Organizing Committee from the Al Ain Club Investment Company adopted international standards in organizing the tournament launched on 26th March 2023 and sponsored by the Al Ain Pharmacy.
The player, Omar Al Shamesi, won the Al Ain Electronic Tournament title for the second year in a row in an atmosphere dominated by the spirit of excitement and parity to win the tournament shield in addition to the amount of AED 7,000 and a voucher for purchases from the Al Ain Official Store offered by the Marketing and Sales Department at a value of AED 1,000. Al Shamesi succeeded in maintaining the top position and was officially assigned to defend the Voss crest in “official” domestic and foreign competitions.
Hamdan Al Buraiki finished as the runner-up and received an amount of AED 4,000, in addition to a shopping voucher from the Al Ain Official Store at a value of AED 1,000. Meanwhile, Rashid Al Zaabi was placed third and was awarded AED 3,000 and a shopping voucher worth AED 1,000, and Sultan Al Hammadi came in fourth place to get a prize of AED 1000 and a shopping voucher of the same value.
The Challenge Journey
The champion, Omar Al Shamesi, started the tournament’s journey by passing the evaluation stage, to actually starting from round 32 with a draw in two matches 2-2 and 5-5, before qualifying for a playoff match according to the competition regulations and winning it 3-1. In the last 16-player stage, he won the first and second-leg match 7 -2 and 5-4. In the quarter-final stage, he lost the first-leg match 0-1, but in the second leg, he managed to adjust his position by winning 3-2. Then, he played a decisive confrontation that he won 4-3. In the semi-finals, Al Shamesi won the first and second-leg matches 7-5 and 3-2. In the final match, he tied in the first leg against Hamdan Al Buraiki 2-2, and he won the second leg with a score of 5-1.

All participants strongly desired to be crowned with the title of the second edition of the Al Ain Club Electronic Tournament launched for FIFA 23 professionals.”
Sense of Responsibility
Omar Al Shamesi, champion of the first and second editions, respectively, of the Al Ain Club Electronic Tournament, expressed his pride in defending the Boss crest for the second year in a row.
He explained: “I am well aware of the volume of the responsibility placed on my shoulder when playing for the biggest club in UAE. Therefore, I pray for Allah Almighty to grant me success.” He said.
“I believe that I currently have sufficient experience compared to the atmosphere we experienced in the Al Ain Tournament, which adopted the best international standards in organizing this big tournament,” he concluded.
Best Player Won the Title
Hamdan Al Buraiki, the runner-up of the champion, congratulated Omar Al Shamesi, who won the Al-Ain Electronic Tournament title, stressing: “I was looking forward to winning the title, but the title definitely went for the better. However, participating in this tournament and reaching the final in my first participation is an important motivation for me to do my best to be crowned with the title in the next edition, God willing.”
First Place
The winner of fourth place, Sultan Al Hammadi, expressed his pride and honor for participating in the Al Ain Club Electronic Tournament, which is organized by the most prominent clubs of our beloved homeland.
He pointed out: “Being placed in the fourth place among about 700 players is an outstanding achievement, although my ambition was to put firm hands on the first spot. However, as Ainawi players, we are used to competing to win first place and thank God very much for everything.”
He said: “At any rate, I cannot fail to thank those in charge of organizing the tournament in the Marketing and Sales Department of Al Ain Club Investment Company for their professionalism in dealing with and adopting best practices in organizing such a world-class tournament.”
Pride and Honor
The third-place winner, Rashid Al Zaabi, said: “I was looking forward to defending the Al Ain Club crest in the official local and foreign competitions at the level of the electronic tournaments for the game “FIFA”, but thank God anyway.”
He concluded his statement: “I was honored to play in the tournament and reach the golden square to play in the Hazza Bin Stadium Zayed, which is certainly a source of pride and honor.”
