Al Ain have signed the professional coach Montenegro’s Veselin Vesko to be in charge of the Boss Volleyball Team for one season following an intense competition with local, Gulf and European clubs, Abdullah Al Darmaki, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company stated in the press conference held to introduce the new coach to the media.

The coach Vesko returns to the UAE following a stunning and successful journey with the UAE National Youth Team in 2007 and to win the Gulf Volleyball Cup. In the same year, he assumed his responsibilities as the head coach of the Al Ain Volleyball Team to be one of the factors that led the team to the coronation podiums and to win the title of the league in 2007 following the decision taken to freeze the game in 2000. Moreover, Vesko did well and has a successful career with Montenegrin, Turkish, Japanese and Slovenian teams.

H.E. Abdullah Al Darmaki, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company, expressed his pleasure to see Vesko again with the team. He stated: “Vesko has the required experience and knows the team well. He is a successful coach who won numerous titles and cups the teams he coached during his career.”

On succeeding to make Vesko sign to Al Ain Team, Al Darmaki said: “After losing two tournaments this season which is not acceptable at all for a big team like Al Ain. There was an agreement that there must be a change in the team, so we had direct communication with Vesko, who we believe is best coach to lead the team. Our decision was based on Vesko’s vast experience in the game and his significant achievements with the teams he trained. However, there was a strong competition from other clubs to win the coach’s services, but we were able to reach an agreement with the coach who signed to the Boss and to lead the team in the next stages.”

In his turn, Montenegro’s coach expressed his pleasure with his return to the Boss’ fort again. “I had great memories with the Boss and happy to return after 11 years. I have great relationships with the players I trained previously, and this is one of the reasons that made me accept the Boss’ offer. Also, I do not forget the professionalism the Boss shoed during the negotiations.”

He signed off: “I hope to succeed and return to coronation podiums as we did in 2007.”
