H. E. KHAMIS OBAID AL KA’ABI CONGRATS SWIMMING TEAM OF AL AIN SPORTS CLUB

E Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of Al Ain Club for Sports, congratulated the swimming squad members, coaches, administrators and technical teams for their recent achievement to be added to the team’s national and international record achievements of UAE. Such an achievement which has already contributed to raise the colors and name of UAE in the international competitions and the name of Al Ain at the local and regional level.

He added, “The unlimited support furnished by the club leadership’s being well founded by H.H. Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, and the First Vice President of Honorary Board and Chairman of Al Ain Club, will further upsurge our determination to win more titles and championships. We emphasize our confidence in the players’ capabilities for their determination to win and stand on the international victory stands.”

Al Ka’abi pointed out, “The club will spare no effort in dedicating whatever it takes to offer long-lasting assistance and support to our male and female players in order to promote UAE sport, meet our leaders’ aspirations and enhance our country’s standing in the international sports arena.”

This was achieved due to the participation of the Club’s swimmers in the recent Winter Tournament of UAE Clubs held during April 2017. Results were as follows:
•    The Club won the Junior Cup at the level of UAE clubs.
•    Top spot of 17 years competition.
•    Top spot of 15 years competition.
•    Runner up of 13 years competition.
•    Top spot of 11 years competition.
•    Runner up of 10 years competition.
•    Third spot of men stage (general).
•    Swimmer, Yacoub Al Saadi, from men category, won the Best Swimmer Cup and the Best Record Cup.
•    Swimmer Ahmad Al Hashemi won the Best Swimmer Cup and the Best Record Cup in 15 years stage.
•    Swimmer Hamad Ahmed Khalfan won the Best Swimmer Cup and the Best Record Cup in 11 years stage.

H.E. Al Ka’abi also hailed the players of Al Ain Club playing in UAE national team participating in all its age categories. He expressed his pride with the new records achieved by the club’s players during their recent participation in the GCC Teams Tournament held in Qatar on February 2017
