Hazza bin Zayed: ‘The Founder’s Memorial’ is a Prominent National Landmark Celebrating the Legacy of Late Founding Father

Sheikh Zayed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council emphasized that “The Founder’s Memorial” is a prominent national landmark that celebrates the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and inspires generations to come the values of devotion, giving, building and development.

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan posted on his official account on Twitter on Wednesday evening: “Sheikh Zayed is an exemplary model of good, beauty, honesty, sincerity and creativity which are the pillars on which the UAE has been established and based on them will continue and live.”

A permanent tribute to the nation’s founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, has been named, ‘The Founder’s Memorial’ by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces on Wednesday to commemorate the memory of the Founder of UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and to consolidate his noble values and great achievements at the level of UAE and the world as a whole.

Set to be inaugurated in early 2018 to coincide with the Year of Zayed and marking the 100-year anniversary of Sheikh Zayed’s birth, the memorial will include a visitors’ center highlighting the role of Sheikh Zayed in establishing and building the UAE and its local and international achievements. It will also offer visitors a journey of discovery into the life and legacy of Sheikh Zayed through rarely-seen footage, personal stories, articles and artefacts which provide an opportunity to learn about the biography of the Founding Leader which is rich in giving, humanitarian principles and noble values.
