Al Ain Football Club and Burjeel Medical Group Hospitals have signed a partnership agreement that extends until 2024. Under the partnership agreement, Burjeel Hospitals will provide various medical services to Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club members and the football and sports companies covering teams of all age groups.

During the press conference, held this afternoon in the Chairman’s Lounge at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, the Al Ain Club Investment Company revealed that the partnership agreement will last for three years. Al Ain Club is privileged to have Burjeel and other leading national institutions sponsor the lofty sports entity, Al Ain Club.

Two Al Ain First Football Team stars attended the signing ceremony, Togo’s Laba Kodjo, and Mohammed Abbas. The partnership agreement was signed by Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club representative, Rashid Abdullah, CEO of Al Ain Club Investment Company, and Omran Al Khoury – Head of VPS Sponsorship Group the Health Business Development Sector, in the presence of John Sunil, Regional CEO of Burjeel Hospitals Group, in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

H.E. Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Deri, Chairman of Al Ain Club Investment Company, hailed the professional medical services provided by Burjeel Hospitals in various fields in all UAE regions.

He stressed that Burjeel is officially joining the family of the “Boss” partners is a real added value to the Club.

In H.E. Deri’s speech, delivered on his behalf by Rashid Abdullah, CEO of Al Ain Investment Club, at the conference announcing the new partnership, stressed: “We are always proud and feel humbled to have such significant and distinguished partners working with us. The reception party was attended by the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Football Club at the Chairman Lounge at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium on Friday 17th September 2021 in recognition of the remarkable achievements of the UAE National Team of People of Determination, the Tokyo Paralympic champions. The reception was held during matchweek 4 between Al Ain and Ittihad Kalba ended by winning Kalba by 4-1.

Al Darmaki congratulated the champions for winning three “gold, silver, and bronze” medals in the 16th Paralympic Games, which took place recently in Tokyo, with the participation of nearly 4,400 athletes from 163 countries.

Mr. Chairman expressed his pride and honor in the Paralympic champions and their decent performance and outstanding achievement in one of the most important and prime international tournaments, wishing them success and best of luck.

Mohammed bin Thaloub: We Need More Attention to Age Groups

The UAE Judo Team participating in the Arab Judo Championship concluded Thursday 16th September 2021 achieved a new milestone in their journey by adding two further medals. Thus, the total medals won by the UAE Team turned to be six colored medals.

The Fujairah Martial Arts Club, represented by the new quality player Saeed Al Naqbi who won a silver medal of the U-73 kg for the junior category. His teammate Yazan Murshid won the bronze medal in the U-50 kg for the youth category and his victory on the first day with the silver medal in the same weight. Ahmad Al Jack, the young player of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, won the gold medal in the U-73 kg. The Sharjah Sports Club player Mansour Jumaa Abdul Rahman won the bronze medal in U-90 kg, and the Fujairah Martial Arts Club player Abdul Rahman Muhammad won the silver medal on the third day of the championship.

The total medals are an added-value achievement for UAE sport in this championship, which witnessed 625 male and female players from 10 Arab countries.

H.E. Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Drei, President of the Emirates Wrestling and Judo Association, called the head of the mission, Mr. Mohammed Jassim Al Sajwani, Assistant Secretary and member of the Arab Federation, praised the results and titles achieved by the “Hope” Judo Team and Fujairah Martial Arts Club.

He stated that this achievement is worthy of praise and attention and contributes to putting the name of the UAE Judo in the Arab list of honor despite the late preparation for that participation due to the cessation of sports activities due to the Corona pandemic in line with health directives.

H.E. Al Deri commended the efforts of the Arab Judo Federation chaired by Yemeni Engineer Noman Shaher for his contribution to advancing the game.

He emphasized that the UAE Judo teams of age groups will participate in the next three championships approved by the Executive Office at its recent meeting in Cairo scheduled to be held in 2022 in Jordan, Tunisia, and Morocco, along with the Asian tournaments of age groups to gain more experience and refine their skills.

Al Deri: Fujairah Club’s Participation Reflected the Remarkable Level of Our Clubs

The Fujairah Martial Arts Club player Abdul Rahman Mohammed added a fourth medal to the UAE National Judo Team as part of the national team participation in the activities of the Arab Judo Championship.

The championship concludes Wednesday 15th September and the team is scheduled to fly back home on Thursday 16th September

The championship witnessed the participation of 625 male and female players from 10 Arab countries, at the level of teams and clubs for youth, juniors, women and the blind.

The UAE National Judo Team won four medals: one gold, two silver and one bronze medals. This achievement placed the Fujairah Martial Arts Club team among the first four teams of the junior category which includes 20 clubs, under the supervision of its coach Moh Al Mouh and the assistant coaching teams.

The championship witnessed the participation of the Emirati international referee, Ahmed Al Blooshi who ran the championship matches. His performance received substantial commendation.

On this occasion, H.E. Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Deri, President of the UAE Wrestling and Judo Association, said that what was achieved during the positive participation in the Arab Judo Championship, which witnessed the largest numerical participation in the history of Arab championships, is a wonderful indication of the return of Emirati judo to resume its local activity, which represents the right path for foreign participation despite the suspension of activity. The union, which extended for two consecutive years due to the Corona pandemic, so the participation in the Judo Arab was on time, which is reflected in the local activity in its new sports season next.

The head of the Emirates Wrestling and Judo Federation added: “There is no doubt that the participation of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club team in the Arab Judo Championship deserves admiration, and congratulations and thanks for its management, Chairman and Board of Directors members for the remarkable and advanced levels of quality skills the players exhibited during the Arab Jud Championship.”

He stated that such outstanding and subnational participation of teams in Cairo championship is an indicator of the return of the UAE judo clubs to resume their local activities and will have a positive impact on the advancement of the game, given that sports activities were suspended for two years due to the breakthrough of COVID-19.

Ahmed Al-Jack Snatches the Gold Medal, Yazan Won the Silver, and Mansour Heavyweight Bronze Medal

On the second day of launching the Arab Open Judo Championship for teams and clubs, the 10th juniors Championship, the 8th for Women and Youth, the 6th for Women, the 5th for the Cubs, the 4th for the Juniors, and the 1st for the Blind Men and Women, the UAE National Judo Team won 3 precious metals (gold, silver and bronze).

Despite the sports activity suspension of the UAE Wrestling and Judo Association since two seasons ago, in line with the health directives due to the previous precautionary measures that led to the disruption of internal and external activities at the level of age groups. The urgent Sports General Authority circular issued recently to all sports entities came with immediate approval to organize U-18 competitions and local championships.

The Arab Cairo Championship witnessed the domination of the star player of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, Ahmed Al-Jak, who won the gold medal. Ahmad won the final match when he played against Egyptian Al-Obour Club player Ahmed Zaki in the weight U-73 kg. Yazan Murshid won the silver medal in the U-50 kg. Meanwhile, Sharjah Sports Club player Mansour Jumaa Abdul Rahman snatched the bronze medal in the U-90 kg weight category although he was so close to win the gold medal of the competition.

The Arab Judo Championship was held in the indoor hall of the Cairo International Stadium and organized by the Egyptian Judo Association under the supervision of the Arab Judo Federation.

The championship was launched under the patronage and presence of H.E. Dr Ashraf Subehi, Minister of Youth and Sports and the Egyptian Olympic Committee, Eng. Noman Shaher, President of the Arab Judo Federation, Eng. Moti’ Fakhreddin, President of the Egyptian Judo Federation, members of the Arab Judo Federation, and heads of delegations participating in the championships.

The championship witnesses the participation of about 600 male and female players from 10 Arab countries, including Egypt, the organizing country for the championship, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Morocco, Tunisia, Iraq, Jordan, and Yemen.

H.E. Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Deri, President of the UAE Wrestling and Judo Association, hailed the efforts exerted by the UAE National Judo Team during the matches of the Arab Championship hosted by the Republic of Egypt.

He also commended efforts exerted by the member clubs in supporting the game players and providing the training equipment which was reflected on the players’ technical level. The excellent level of players received commendation from the Judo game experts during the championship.

Al Deri congratulated the brilliant coaches of the participating clubs and the national team for their dedicated efforts which contributed to showing the exceptional skills.
He said: “The championship resulted in identifying new talented and promising players at the level of the participating Arab countries. They will be big names in the game in the very near future.”

Today, through the Al Ain Club’s official platforms, the Fans Affairs Office announced the provision of free nasal swab (PCR) tests for Al Ain club fans and all those who wish to attend the first match of the Boss at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.

The matchweek 2 of ADNOC Pro League and first home match is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, 25th August 2021 against the Emirates Team.

The Al Ain Club Fans Affairs Office revealed that the PCR test scheduled to conducted on Monday at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium. The office assigned a private number for coordination and further inquiries (+971543088232). This initiative comes in support of the UAE efforts to combat COVID-19.

Ahmed Al Kaabi, Manager of the Public Affairs Office, expressed his deepest and sincerest appreciation to the UAEFA and the PLC for coordinating with the concerned authorities to take the decision to allow the fans’ return to the UAE football stadiums.

Al Kaabi also availed the opportunity to extend his appreciation to Al Ain Club Investment Company and the management of Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium for providing the highest Safety standards, in addition to furnishing the best comfort methods for Al Ain fans and the guests.

He stressed that Al Ain Club has always been dedicated to meeting all the requirements that boost the number of fans attending the team’s home matches. He pointed out that this comes as a reflection of the club’s management belief in the importance of the role that the loyal fans have been playing in supporting the team’s ambitions and motivating the players to achieve the desired goals.

As for the preparations to receive the fans on Wednesday, Al Kaabi said that the management of Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium has also decided to provide free drinking water to all fans who will attend the match from the stands. All the processes will be implemented in accordance with the procedures stated in the stadium regulations in force, which are consistent with the requirements stipulated by PLC and approved by the security authorities to ensure the safety and security of all fans.

Al Ain Bid Farewell to Bosnian Isak

Yesterday, Al Ain Sports Games Company held a farewell party for the Bosnian handball player, Isak Omir, after spending five seasons with the Boss squad.

The honoring party was attended by Mr. Ahmed Sultan Al Nuaimi, Sports Director of the Sports Games Company, Mustafa Al Kaabi, Assistant Coach, Captain Yousry, the goalkeepers’ coach, and Mansour Al-Shuaili, the team’s statistician and administrator, in addition to the player’s teammate.

The Bosnian Isak Omir, 33, is one of the most distinguished players in the UAE. He won the Best Professional Player Award in 2018. He also contributed significantly to the return of the Al Ain Handball Team and building a solid team that can reach the podiums. He also won the UAE Cup 2020, the league runner-up, and the UAE Cup for the current season.

The sports director, Ahmed Sultan, expressed his appreciation to Isak Omir for everything he did for the team during his presence in previous years. He said: “We will not forget Isak’s contributions over the past period along with his teammates. He was a role model on and off the field. He has contributed and his colleagues to the return of Al Ain’s handball team to advanced positions and crowning podiums.

“He also possesses high morals in dealing with those around him in the club. I am sure that everyone testifies that he was a great and valuable asset to the team. However, this is the norm of our life where everything comes to an end. We wish him success wherever he goes, and Al Ain will remain his second home whenever he wants to return. He will be more than welcome,” he said.

For his part, Isak Omer expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to Al Ain Club Management for all the support they showed during the past period he spent with the team.

He said: “I am sad to leave my team, but I am proud and happy that I got brothers and a house in the UAE, i.e., Al Ain Club.”

He added: “I spent five years here and learned a lot and could, along with my fellow players to build a team that can compete to win titles, as we did last season and as we did in 2018 when we won the UAE Cup.”

He concluded his statement by extending his thanks to all who supported him and stood by him during his career in the UAE. He also said: “I wish success to all my fellow players in the next stage and that they won more championships and titles. This is life! Everything has an end for everything, but Al Ain Club will remain in my heart and thoughts. I will do my best to follow up the team matches and results in coming stages.”
