In a joint press statement posted on their official websites, the Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club and the UAE University have officially announced signing a Memorandum of Understanding to promote cooperation between both parties in joint fields of interest.

The MoU has been signed by H.E. Hamad Bin Nukhairat Al Ameri, Managing Director at Al Ain Club, and H.E. Prof. Galib Al Hadrami Al Buraiki, Acting President of the UAE University.

On this occasion, E. Hamad Bin Nukhairat Al Ameri expressed Al Ain Club’s pride in such a partnership with the UAE University, one of the leading educational institutions at the region’s level, and featured by its significant achievements at the regional and global levels.

Bin Nukhairat added: “Our partnership with the UAE University is a true reflection of the Club’s social responsibility. The Club’s role and efforts are not limited to sports aspects only, but expand to include serving the society based on the fact that Al Ain Club is not covering the sports activities, but also the cultural, educational, and social aspects and serving different age groups.”

“The desired gains from activating the clauses of the partnership agreement between the Al Ain Club and its affiliates and all the UAE University branches are great. Signing the MoU is a genuine reflection of our keenness to boost cooperation with all institutions and national bodies in line with the Club’s vision and strategy. Our sights are all set to develop the capabilities of the Club’s staff and to activate the important role of the Al Ain Media Training Institution,” Bin Nukhairat stated.

Bin Nukhairat pointed out the UAE University has practically begun to provide consultations and training programs for the Club and its companies based on its academic capabilities that qualify it to do so. “We would start soon holding training courses paving the way to be part of the scientific researches and innovation, which contributes to supporting the process of institutional progress per the approved policy guide.”

Hamad bin Nukhairat went on to say that the Al Ain Club, with its various companies and Al Ain T.V. Channel, provides field training opportunities for students of the UAE University, according to the policies in place.

He emphasized that providing such opportunities to the UAE University would enhance the scientific and research role of the educational partner and thus achieving national goals in areas of common and mutual interest, in addition, to contribute to preparing an elite group of Emirati experts capable of keeping pace with scientific development in all fields.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Ghalib Al-Hadrami Al Braiki, Acting President of the UAE University, affirmed that concluding the MoU with the Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club comes in line with the university’s vision and strategy to enhance cooperation and partnerships with institutions.

“The MoU represents the UAE University’s constant keenness to consolidate cooperation with other national entities, given that the UAE University plays a key role in developing the local community and providing various services as a house of expertise that contributes to the training and development of individuals in various fields. Additionally, the UAE University always seeks to have an enduring partnership with the relevant entities to conduct its activities and programs to achieve the maximum benefit out of these initiatives to serve the best interest of targeted beneficiaries,” Prof. Al Hadrami stated.

The Acting President of the UAE University hailed the advantages of signing the MoU in disseminating and promoting sports activities according to scientific foundations, enabling the staff of the Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club to benefit from experiences and scientific research related to sports and health and to provide scientific guidance according to the requirements and needs of the Al Ain Club.

Hazza bin Zayed attends graduation of Khalifa Bin Zayed Air College’s 50th batch of pilot cadets

(WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, witnessed this morning the graduation of the 50th batch of pilots and the tenth batch of females pilots from Khalifa Bin Zayed Air College in Al Ain.

The ceremony was attended by Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, a number of senior officials, Armed Forces officers, the police, military attachés, as well as the families of graduates.

Feelings of pride for country’s achievements renewed on 49th National Day: Hazza bin Zayed

(WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, stressed that feelings of pride for the country’s unique achievements, made possible by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the Founding Fathers, are renewed on the 49th National Day.

In his statement to the Nation Shield, the UAE Armed Forces magazine, on the occasion of the UAE’s 49th National Day, Sheikh Hazza said, “On this great day, pledges of loyalty and devotion are renewed to the UAE’s leadership, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.”

“Despite the tough conditions witnessed by the entire world this year resulting from the coronavirus, COVID-19, pandemic, the UAE’s process of development, progress and achievements has not stopped. It has managed to turn the crisis into an opportunity, underscoring the strengths of both the country’s public and private sectors,” he added.

“This inspiring journey began with the historic speech of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed at the start of the crisis when he addressed the UAE’s citizens and residents and told them, ‘Do not worry.’ The following events and initiatives proved that His Highness Sheikh Mohamed was addressing the entire world with this speech,” he added.

“The UAE’s outstanding achievements in the health sector have impressed us all. Therefore, we thank all our health workers, the frontline defenders who have demonstrated their worthiness to combat this crisis. And as the country is investing in the technology, education and telecommunication sectors, it did not neglect our academic progress. This year, 2020, witnessed the launch of Mohamed bin Zayed University for Human Sciences,” he further added.

“We express our appreciation for the initiatives, projects and legislation related to motherhood and childhood while highlighting the role of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, GWU, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, FDF, the ‘Mother of the UAE,’ in empowering Emirati women,” Sheikh Hazza stressed.

“Despite the serious crisis facing the entire world, the UAE continued accomplishing consecutive achievements in all areas, most notably in the energy and space sectors. This year, the Barakah Peaceful Nuclear Plant began operating while major discoveries of conventional and unconventional oil resources also took place. The year of preparations for the next fifty years represents progress towards the future, in light of the leadership’s conviction that this journey must be collective,” he further said.

“In 2020, the UAE has taken courageous steps towards achieving peace in the region and the entire world, by signing a peace accord with Israel to advance the peace process in the region and protect the rights of the Palestinian people. The country continued to enhance its distinguished ties with other countries and promote its message of peace and tolerance, supporting the efforts of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, with His Eminence Dr. Ahmed el-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, and His Holiness Pope Francis, Head of the Catholic Church,” he noted.

“We extend our most sincere greetings to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, and the Deputy Rulers and Crown Princes, as well as to all our citizens and residents,” Sheikh Hazza said in conclusion.

On 13th November 2020, Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club and the Czech Hospital, organized at the Club’s management offices located in Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, a special event to recognize the World Diabetes Day.

All the Club’s companies staff, sports teams, coaching teams participated in this event in a genuine expression of their keenness to be part of any initiative dedicated to serving Al Ain City’s society. The activities of the World Diabetes Day included awareness programs and consultation for all employees as well as diabetes screening for all participants in the event.

Al Ain Club Marks the Flag Day

Rashid Abdullah: HBZS is All Set to Receive the Spectators

“The customized design of Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium (HBZS) correspond to the best international security and safety standards in football stadiums worldwide while considering the prestigious style of design of the whole facility,” Mr. Rashid Abdullah, Executive Director of Al Ain Football Club Company, stated in an exclusive interview with “Here is Al Ain” program broadcasted via Al Ain TV Channel.

He pointed out that the stadium’s massive project adopts the concepts of cities and thanks should go to God and then our continued support of UAE Sheikhs.

Rashid indicated that since the breakthrough of the pandemic, the Board of Directors of Al Ain Club Investment Company issued explicit and straightforward instructions to coordinate with the competent official authorities and to enhance the security and safety procedures and “here I do not mean only the stadium but the whole project. Indeed, we are sterilizing the whole project and in and out of the stadium. I could say that we are fully ready to receive the Ainawi Nation and any opponent teams once we receive an official notification to do so.”

In response to a question about the most prominent features on which the entry protocol to Hazza bin Zayed Stadium is based, he said: “As you know, Al Ain is the first Club to form a Medical Committee in UAE. Members of this committee are consultants, and doctors specialized in various fields. Additionally, the Club formed the Security and Safety Committee, whose members are specialized experts as well.”
“Each and everyone in the Club works in the spirit of one team to implement the approved protocol and procedures. There are requirements in place for entering the stadium or employees’ offices, including showing a negative COVID-19 test valid at least for one week, in addition to temperature test and sterilization of everyone,” he said.
He went on to say that the Club conducts a periodic screening test for all employees and workers. “Once the fans are back to attend matches in stadiums, certainly the protocol for entering the stadiums will be consistent with the procedures approved by the official authorities. We are all set to reopen the gates for the spectators, considering that Hazza bin Zayed Stadium has 12 entry gates in addition to the VIP gate, which enhances the chances to adhere to the distancing protocols using the e-tickets booked by phone.”
Regarding the Ainawi seasonal card, he said: “First of all, I would like to extend my appreciation to all the Ainawi cardholders through your program “Here is Al Ain” and would like to assure them that there are exceptional benefits that will be announced in the coming days.”
As for not taking advantage of the card to enter into HBZS, Rashid Abdullah confirmed that the Board of Directors of Al Ain Football Club Investment Company issued their instructions to extend the membership validity for half the season as of its expiration date.

He added: “This is our own way to show our appreciation to the members of the Ainawi card. Members are not using it to get into HBZS at present; however, they could use it is still active to take advantage of other benefits offered by our partners and members.”

Commenting on a question about the Peace Match, he said: “Absolutely, the UAE is a country of tolerance, love, and peace, and because the sport has the most important messages of promoting the language of peace and upholding the principle of sportsmanship, a partnership and memorandum of understanding has been signed that includes several important items between Israel’s Maccabi Haifa and Al Ain Club. He also said that the Al Ain Club is preparing for the match and would prepare the players mentally and select the best-skilled ones to play the game consistent with the team’s name and reputation.

As for the match against Sharjah, he said: “I believe it would be exactly like the match against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai. I am sure the match would be balanced, and the team who enjoys a high level of concentration would win the match and snatch its three points.”

Hazza bin Zayed inaugurates ‘Al Samha’ housing project for Emiratis in Abu Dhabi

(WAM) — Following the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has inaugurated ‘Al Samha’ housing project for Emiratis in Abu Dhabi in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, and other members of the Executive Council.

Part of the integrated Emirati Housing Communities programme, the 520,000 sqm project includes 250 residential villas (150 in Al Samha West and 100 in Al Samha East), costing a total of AED674m. Abu Dhabi Housing Authority was responsible for completing the construction work, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada). Villas will be allocated to Emirati citizens, and feature heritage design touches that reflect Emirati national identity and heritage.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed was briefed on the project’s infrastructure, including the construction specifications, design features, ‘smart’ fire detection sensors, and fire and safety systems to be installed in all 250 villas. He emphasised that the systems should be carefully checked and tested for their effectiveness prior and post installation.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed said: “Abu Dhabi housing projects reflect the leadership’s vision and commitment to providing high-quality housing that enhances the wellbeing of Emiratis in line with the highest international standards, by launching housing initiatives and programmes that meet the needs of the citizens in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and contributes to further developing their residential environments, and provide them with the needed housing services that accommodate the requirements of Emirati families.”

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed praised the efforts of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada), and their partners in Al Samha housing project for following the leadership’s directives regarding housing services that help achieve social stability and wellbeing among Emirati citizens in Abu Dhabi.

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed said: “To deliver the vision of our wise leadership, we will continue to meet the needs of all members in our society and build comprehensive and integrated housing projects for Emirati citizens that benefit from modern infrastructure while preserving the particularities of Emirati identity.”

His Highness added: “Emirati neighbourhood projects provide a multitude of premium housing options and services that support social stability and enhance the lifestyle in the emirate.”

Abu Dhabi provides various housing services that suit all needs of its community, and will continue to work on developing distinguished projects in line with world-class concepts of residential neighbourhoods and enhance the lifestyle in the emirate.”

Villas in the project are 497sqm each, and include five bedrooms, a majlis, a dining room, two living rooms, a kitchen, a store room, a laundry room, a maid’s room, a driver’s room and other facilities.

To further the government’s strategy to encourage the private sector to invest in housing, and with the aim to align procedures and improve and accelerate services provided to citizens, the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority signed a MoU with the IMC Investment Group and its subsidiaries, within the model villas initiative. The MOU aims to help citizens choose interior designs, furniture and other services provided.

Al Ain Signs MOU with Royal Health Group

Al Ain Sports Games Company has recently signed an MoU this Saturday 15th October 2020, with the Royal Health Group to provide the company with the best health care services in sports medicine and enhance the cooperation between the two parties.

The MoU was signed in the northern hall of Hazza bin Zayed Stadium. It was signed by H.E. Abdullah Jumaa Al Darmaki, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company, and Dr. Mohammed Badr Al Sa’iri, Executive Director of Royal Health Medical Group. Among other attendees were H.E. Saleh Al Shuaili, board member of Al Ain Sports Games Company, Dr. Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Cardiology, and Catheter Consultant at the Royal Health Group, and Mr. Ahmed Sultan Al Nuaimi, Sports Director of Al Ain Sports Games Club.

H.E. Abdullah Jumaa Al Darmaki, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company, commended concluding such a partnership with the Royal Health Group and said: “We are proud of this partnership that supports our plans in developing sports in general. Indeed, we seek to preserve the health of all sportsmen in our society by adopting a healthy lifestyle that enhances our ambitions to achieve more in the future. This is why we conclude a partnership agreement with the Royal Health Group to be one of the most effective partners to provide the best services in healthcare.
