Prof. Ghalib Al Hadrami: We Look Forward to Gaining Great Advantages and Promote Sports Activities Per Scientific Foundations
In a joint press statement posted on their official websites, the Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club and the UAE University have officially announced signing a Memorandum of Understanding to promote cooperation between both parties in joint fields of interest.
The MoU has been signed by H.E. Hamad Bin Nukhairat Al Ameri, Managing Director at Al Ain Club, and H.E. Prof. Galib Al Hadrami Al Buraiki, Acting President of the UAE University.
On this occasion, E. Hamad Bin Nukhairat Al Ameri expressed Al Ain Club’s pride in such a partnership with the UAE University, one of the leading educational institutions at the region’s level, and featured by its significant achievements at the regional and global levels.
Bin Nukhairat added: “Our partnership with the UAE University is a true reflection of the Club’s social responsibility. The Club’s role and efforts are not limited to sports aspects only, but expand to include serving the society based on the fact that Al Ain Club is not covering the sports activities, but also the cultural, educational, and social aspects and serving different age groups.”
“The desired gains from activating the clauses of the partnership agreement between the Al Ain Club and its affiliates and all the UAE University branches are great. Signing the MoU is a genuine reflection of our keenness to boost cooperation with all institutions and national bodies in line with the Club’s vision and strategy. Our sights are all set to develop the capabilities of the Club’s staff and to activate the important role of the Al Ain Media Training Institution,” Bin Nukhairat stated.
Bin Nukhairat pointed out the UAE University has practically begun to provide consultations and training programs for the Club and its companies based on its academic capabilities that qualify it to do so. “We would start soon holding training courses paving the way to be part of the scientific researches and innovation, which contributes to supporting the process of institutional progress per the approved policy guide.”
Hamad bin Nukhairat went on to say that the Al Ain Club, with its various companies and Al Ain T.V. Channel, provides field training opportunities for students of the UAE University, according to the policies in place.
He emphasized that providing such opportunities to the UAE University would enhance the scientific and research role of the educational partner and thus achieving national goals in areas of common and mutual interest, in addition, to contribute to preparing an elite group of Emirati experts capable of keeping pace with scientific development in all fields.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Ghalib Al-Hadrami Al Braiki, Acting President of the UAE University, affirmed that concluding the MoU with the Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club comes in line with the university’s vision and strategy to enhance cooperation and partnerships with institutions.
“The MoU represents the UAE University’s constant keenness to consolidate cooperation with other national entities, given that the UAE University plays a key role in developing the local community and providing various services as a house of expertise that contributes to the training and development of individuals in various fields. Additionally, the UAE University always seeks to have an enduring partnership with the relevant entities to conduct its activities and programs to achieve the maximum benefit out of these initiatives to serve the best interest of targeted beneficiaries,” Prof. Al Hadrami stated.
The Acting President of the UAE University hailed the advantages of signing the MoU in disseminating and promoting sports activities according to scientific foundations, enabling the staff of the Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club to benefit from experiences and scientific research related to sports and health and to provide scientific guidance according to the requirements and needs of the Al Ain Club.
