Within the framework of the unprecedented sporting scenery through the city of Al Ain, Hafeit Challenge’s supreme organizing committee announced the official adoption of cricket and footvolley (Brazilian Tennis) to be added to the competitions list, so the number of sports through this huge sporting event increased up to 20 sports. This move came as a direct response to the wishes of the city’s residing communities, as well as to boost the vast participation which include different categories of men, women, children, elderly, and people of determination.

It has been scheduled to hold the cricket and footvolley competitions tomorrow on Wednesday’s evening, where Sheeab Al Ashkhar park will host the footvolley competitions, while cricket competitions will be held on the municipality’s pitches through the industrial zone.

The running race ignites atmospheres through Al Mabzarah Al Khadrah

Amongst brilliant Ramadan atmosphere on yesterday, Al Mabzarah Al Khadrah adopted the most powerful Ramadan competitions, with the participation of 800 contenders in the running race, which was divided into three distance categories of 1 km, 3 km, and 5 km.

The event was attended by Mosbeh Al Maneei, who is the general director of Al Ain city’s municipality, Salem bin Houdairem Al Katibi, who is the chairman of the supreme organizing committee of Hafeit Sports Challenge, Rashid Abdullah, who is the competitions managers through the challenge, as well as Sbeit Khater, who is the representative of Abu Dhabi Council and the manager of the running race, in addition to a number of officials from Al Ain city’s municipality.

Volunteering efforts enriching the event

The volunteers’ big role was prominent in the success of the running race, where 250 volunteers proved their effective attendance in the organization of the event, attracting admiration from the specialized entities in organizing international races. The organizing committee praised volunteer’s professional performance and their complete commitment with race’s governing standards and regulations, which contributed in providing a modular sports experience.

Khamis Rasid becomes history’s youngest contender through Hafeit Challenge’s running race at the age of 3 months

In an exceptional scenery that reflects the familial spirit and passion for sport, the infant Khamis Rashid registered his name as the youngest participant through the Hafeit Challenge. Khamis is no more than 3 months old. His participation came in the framework of his parents’ support for sport and as a confirmation over the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle since early childhood.

Despite his young age, Khamis attendance was brilliant through the race, where his parents accompanied him through the event that witnessed a vast participation of different age categories. With this step, the young infant Khamis became one of history’s youngest participants through local running races.

Al Zuabi performs brilliantly and praises organizers’ efforts

The Olympic champions Saeed Al Zuabi, who is the winner of the 1 km running race, expressed his pride over participating through this event, so he extended his gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is the representative of Al Ain area’s ruler, over the constant support for the sporting activities through the city.

Al Zuabi said the following statement: “We witnessed wonderful sporting atmospheres which we missed through the past period of time. Thank God over my success in claiming victory through the 1 km running race on the general level. I also would like to thank the supreme organizing committee over their great exerted efforts to make this exceptional event succeed.”

He also added the following statement: “The race was not easy, where we faced new challenges due to track’s nature, which had been selected at Hafeit mountain and Al Mabzarah Al Khadrah. The track included mounds and slopes that require high fitness and great ability to tolerate, making the competition more thrilling.”

Saeed Al Zuabi is considered one of the country’s most prominent super stars in Athletics, where he represented the United Arab Emirates in Rio De Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games, then he moved to triathlon in 2020, where he claimed the first position on the level of the Asian continent, and the second place on the global level. He also claimed the first rank on the international and global level in 2024.
