Al Ain Celebrates Flag Day

In a national and honorable patriotic scene, Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club in coordination with the Human Resources Department, Al Ain Police Department, Waste Management Center “TADWEER” and Abu Dhabi Transportation and Control “TRANSCO”, Al Qattara Real Estate and a number of government entities and schools, participated in the State’s celebrations of the Flag Day. The ceremony took place in the Plaza Arena in the middle of the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium and at the main entrance of the one of the best stadiums in the world. The ceremony agenda included raising the flag and playing the national anthem of the UAE.

On this occasion, H.E. Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Chairman of Al Ain Club Football Company, stated: “The Flag Day is the most genuine expression of all Emiratis and residents in this blessed homeland of their pride and honor as it represents a significant national day highlighting the stature of the UAE flag as a national symbol to be flown high and the UAE’s prestigious position.” He added that this significant national occasion is a continuous pledge to keep our flag high and to renew commitment and keep working hard to maintain the UAE’s leading position regionally and globally.

Al Hajeri added that the Flag Day is an in expression of appreciation to the UAE’s founding fathers whose efforts helped fortify the union and launch decades of progress and prosperity and most recent achievement is launching the UAE’s satellite “KhalifaSat”.

On this occasion, Al Hajeri extended his sincerest congratulations and best wishes to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their brothers, members of the Federal Supreme Council.
