Mohammed Bin Thaloub Al Deri Congratulates Al Orouba and Emirates Football Clubs

H.E. Mohammed Bin Thaloub Al Deri, Chairman of Al Ain Club Investment Company, sent two cables to Al Orouba FC of Al Fujairah and Emirates FC of Ras Al Khaimah on their promotion to the Arabian Gulf League 2021-2022.

Noteworthy, Al Orouba FC of Al Fujairah- Merbeh Area won the title of First Division 2020-2021. The club joins the AGL for the second time in its history since season 1991-1992 and the first time in the professional era and by the 20th club to participate in the league in this era. Al Deri expressed his appreciation for the great efforts exerted by the club’s management.

Al Deri also congratulated Emirates FC for being back to normal position as the team qualified to play in the league four times: 2009-2010, 2011-2012, 2013-2014, and 2021-2022.

The Chairman of Al Ain Club Investment Company hailed both clubs’ management efforts, for they were up to the challenge. He commended the teams’ fans high morale and continuous support wishing them all the best in the coming stage.

Khwaiter Al Dhaheri, a member of the Board of Directors of the Al Ain Sports Games Company and the Supervisor of Individual Games, presented His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Club, the title achieved by the junior teams of Al Ain. Al Ain Junior Jiu-Jitsu Team was placed first and won the gold medals of the Abu Dhabi World Junior Jiu-Jitsu Championship. He presented the title also for the board members and fans of the Boss.

Khwaiter expressed his great pleasure with this achievement, saying: “I am proud of the achievement in light of the conditions that sport is going through due to the Corona pandemic, but our young champions were able to put a distinct imprint as of the first day of the Abu Dhabi World Junior Championship competitions, which was held at the Zayed City Sports Arena in the capital Abu Dhabi.”

He added: “It indicates the interest of Al Ain Club in this game and the upbringing of young players to love it. We are looking forward to having a strong generation that can compete in all local and foreign championships, whether they represent the club or the national team.”

Al Dhaheri thanked the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Association for the efforts exerted to make this global event a success story “in light of what we are going through, but they were able to hold the competitions in the best way, especially since the event is not only at the local level but also global and watched from all over the world.”

He went on to say: “It is not unusual for the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Association to excel in organizing such international events. They always set their sights to have UAE one of the best countries in holding such international competitions, especially in the sport of Jiu-Jitsu, and we always wish them success.”

Al Kaabi stated: “The tournament did achieve its pre-set goals and on top is to promote communications between the Club and the fans through other activities other than the football sport. Indeed, the participants’ interaction was brilliant as 200 players registered in this tournament. This shows that how important to hold this tournament in the future.”

As for the tournament awards, Al Kaabi said: “Under the umbrella of the Fans Affairs Office of the Al Ain Club Investment Company, in cooperation of the tournament’s official sponsor dedicated special awards and presents for the top three winners. The top player would get PlayStation 5 set, and there would be an additional award that will be granted to the winner of the tournament’s first version.”

He concluded his statement by announcing the winner of the first version would be the Club’s representative in all official tournaments in the future.

Today, Al Ain Club signed a partnership agreement with the UAE Padel Center at the Chairman’s Lounge in the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.

The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Nasr Al Neyyadi, President of the UAE Padel Center, Rashid Abdullah, Executive Director of Al Ain Club Investment Company, and Bata Piera, CEO of the UAE Padel Center.

On behalf of H.E. Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Deri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Club Investment Company, Abdullah Rashid delivered a brief speech stressing that Al Ain Club and the Board of Directors of Al Ain Club Investment Company to encourage all leading and creative initiatives that serve the society through practicing sports activities and games.

Abdullah Rashid stated that the Al Ain Club would continue in supporting games that receive great attention and spread remarkably in our beloved homeland, such as jiu-jitsu and cycling, in all the emirates of our beloved country and the Al Ain City to establish the concept of healthy cities.

He added: “We pay tribute to the new partner, UAE Padel Center, that joined our list of partners whom we are proud and cherished. Under the new agreement, Al Ain Club is the first sports club to establish a private academy for Padel sport. Leaders Forum marks commencement of TVET Innovation Week 2021

(WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has said that the development of distinguished and superior national standards in engineering, technological and industrial disciplines is at the forefront of the UAE leadership’s priorities.

“UAE youth are the nation’s most precious wealth, and the main source of development and progress in all aspects of life”, Sheikh Hazza stated, noting that the new and dedicated strategy of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) reflects the alignment with the vision of UAE’s leadership to ensure the prosperity of the UAE and the wellbeing of its citizens.

ACTVET inaugurated the Leaders Forum, which spearheaded the launch of the seventh edition of Technical and Vocational Education and Training, “TVET Innovation Week 2021”, held from the 1st-4th February.

TVET Innovation is taking place virtually, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, and has already welcomed the participation of Hussein Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, Dr. Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Director-General of ACTVET, and a group of senior government officials.

Opening the first session of the forum, the Minister of Education said, “TVET Innovation Week 2021 addresses a very important and current topic: Private sector enhances youth employability.”

The Minister praised ACTVET’s initiative, EEE: Empower Emiratis for Employment, through which ACTVET successfully deployed young Emiratis to work in the private sector. He also commended ACTVET’s dedicated efforts to advance TVET’s educational outcome and adequately equip the UAE’s national talent with the competencies required for their effective contribution to the UAE’s sustainable economic development. ACTVET, through its EEE programme, created effective engagement between the national talent and the labour market and enhanced the competitiveness of UAE youth.

Al Hammadi added that the UAE is vigorously moving forward towards preparing for the next 50 years. Hence, the UAE’s leadership have launched a project named “Towards the next 50”, inviting the general public to contribute to shaping the future of UAE and outlining the UAE’s Centennial Plan 2071. The education sector sits on the top of this plan, articulating its outcome is a priority. TVET is a vital sector that we need to formulate and develop, TVET graduates can be a real contributor to UAE’s sustainable development, he added.

“Since we all know that the fourth industrial revolution is around the corner, for UAE to keep pace, or even compete at, we need to invest in the opportunities in hand. Our goal is to prepare the future youth to master their trades in the technical, applied and professional fields. Taking into account the different educational needs of the students, we developed specialised educational paths and different modern disciplines aligned with the requirements of the ever developing industry sectors, while instilling in our youth the importance of the lifelong learning.”

He went on to say that the UAE gives equal importance to the different learning paths offered to students in UAE. “The human development, the advancement of our nation can only be achieved through a balanced educational outcome that combines both skills and knowledge. Vocational education has become a pillar for the economic development of any country. It offers students unique opportunities to innovate and excel in vital industrial sectors. Achieving integration in the education sector depends on the great efforts being made on a large national scale.”

Al Hammadi concluded, “This conference is a manifestation of the wise vision of our leadership coming to action. The UAE’s leadership envisioned the cooperation and the integration between the public and the private sectors as the best way to achieve sustainable economic development in the UAE. The goal is to supply the labour market with qualified national cadres capable of building a diversified and sustainable economy with high productivity gauge. Such strong economy will upscale the UAE’s global position in business and increase its competitiveness.”

Dr. Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Director-General of ACTVET pointed out that some of the programmes offered include “TVET Innovation Week”, “Yes to work” and the “Empower Emiratis for Employment”, which aim to help UAE nationals obtain a qualification diploma in the retail sector. “Our programmes are all developed with one goal in mind, to provide the necessary education and training to develop the skills of the UAE nationals and increase their employability through career guidance and mentoring,” he said.

Based on the vital role that Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club and its affiliated companies persistently play, Al Boss has been keen to carry on the annual initiative “Winter Clothing” in line with the Club’s vision and values.

Al Ain Club annually distributes food parcels, sanitary and medical supplies, winter clothes, and children’s materials to the Club staff.

Noteworthy, the assistance program continues throughout the winter season under the supervision of the Club’s Corporate Communication Department. Directors of Al Ain Club’s companies, sector supervisors, and many Al Ain Club stars in various games participated in the “Winter Clothing” initiative.

The “international” midfielder of Al Ain Football Team, Ahmed Berman, said that Al Ain Club is always committed to consolidating the concept of the comprehensive Club, “so you find everyone who belongs to this entity realizes the importance of participating in its creative initiatives to serve our community.”

“We witnessed a few days ago the opening of Al Ain Club Center Covid-19 Screening Center and Vaccination through the vehicle. Such initiatives confirm the Club’s interest in serving the society,” he said.

Today, Al Ain Club officially announced a new national partnership with the Royal Health Group to open the Covid 19 Screening and Vaccination Center through the vehicle. The new center is located in the perimeter of the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium.

The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Hamad Bin Nukhairat Al Ameri, Managing Director of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club and its affiliates, Dr. Muhammad Badr Al Sayyari, CEO of Royal Health Group, Rashid Abdullah, Operational Director of Al Ain Club, a large number of the first line of defense working in the new center and affiliated with the Royal Health Group and the staff of Al Ain Sports Club Cultural and affiliated companies.

Dr. Mohammed Badr Al Sayyari, CEO of the Royal Health Group, said in exclusive statements to Al Ain TV Channel that the partnership results from the Abu Dhabi Government’s sincere efforts, the Abu Dhabi Health Department, and all its strategic partners.

“It brings together two big national institutions, Al Ain Club and the Royal Health Group, with sights set to establish this vital project that provides services to the community easily and flawlessly. The center is designed to provide citizens of the city with the preventive COVID-19 vaccination services via vehicle, besides, to conduct screening test via vehicle smoothly and with a hassle-free process.”

Regarding the procedures adopted by the new center, he said: “The customers are received at the main gate where officers in charge lead them to the right direction to receive the service they need. They are then registered and follow the tracks leading to vaccination or screening test tents to be provided with the necessary service. They are provided with all the required information about vaccination and how to communicate with the medical authorities, according to the specific vaccination period. At the center, the whole process does not exceed seven minutes and four minutes only to do the screening test.”

The CEO of the Royal Health Medical Group described the current project as one of the smartest projects that provides two types of service simultaneously in an easy and accessible way.

“It is one of the projects that receive remarkable support from the Department of Health Abu Dhabi and the National Disaster and Crisis Management Committee,” he said.

He added: “The partnership demonstrates the required relationship between the national authorities within the Abu Dhabi Emirate, represented by the Al Ain Club, which is considered one of the leading national institutions in the UAE. Through this partnership, we look forward to the optimal use of the capabilities, facilities, and places provided by the club to serve the community in addition to the qualified and affiliated taskforces of the club and by the Royal Health Group. We also seek to provide medical personnel, medical devices, and all the necessary capabilities to obtain an easy medical product that serves the citizens and residents of the beloved city of Al Ain.”

For his part, Rashid Abdullah, the Operational Director of Al Ain Club, expressed his great pleasure, honor, and pride for signing the new national partnership that led to establishing the new center for COVID-19 screening tests and vaccination.

He went on to say: “Al Ain Club always seeks to consolidate the concept of the comprehensive sports club whose services are not limited to offer sports services only. This concept is based on the club’s commitment to the vision and strategic plans to promote social services and contribute to the awareness campaign for receiving the COVID-19 vaccine under the theme “Hand in Hand we Recover”.

Al Ain Ends as Runners Up of the UAE Handball Cup

Al Ain Handball First Team placed second in the UAE Handball Cup 2021 behind the top club, Al Sharjah, on goal difference.

In their championship journey, Al Ain achieved the full mark in the group stage as the team won Bani Yas, Al Wahda, and Al Jazira to qualify to play against Al Sharjah. Al Ain Lost to Al Sharjah but won Shabab Al Ahli Dubai by 10-0 and ends as a runner up on goals difference.

On his part, Saleh Al Shouaili, member of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports Games Company and the Supervisor of Al Ain Handball Team, praised the team’s players’ effort during their journey in the championship.

He said: “We aspired to maintain the title of the competition in our cabins, but we faced certain challenges such as injuries continued to occur during the whole rounds and lack of players on the bench. The majority are still young players who still need more time to experienced players and be ready to play competition.”

He went on to say that Al Ain Team was the only team that played many matches after the technical error committed in the team’s game against the Al Jazira. “We won the second match and it was an important victory as we proved to everyone that we deserved to be at the top spot of Group “A”. We did not get enough break time as we played against a strong team and a candidate to win the title, that is Al Sharjah.”

“Our opponent took the advantage during the break time use after our second match against Al Jazira. However, we were not lucky enough and lost to Al Sharjah only after three days of our last match. We did not have time to recover as several players suffered from injuries.”

Al Shouaili hailed for their dedicated efforts and being able to end as runners up. He also expressed his sincerest appreciation for the coaching teams, medical and administrative staff, who could present the team in an outstanding image despite losing the top spot and the title.

“We are proud of them and everything they did, and we expect more from them in the remaining tournaments of this season,” he said.

Regarding the team’s chances to win the titles of the other competitions of the current season, Al Shouaili said: “Praise be to God, we still holding the second spot of the Men’s League as we have not lose any match. Thanks go to the coaching teams, administrative and medical staff and the players.”

He went on to say: “We hope to continue at this level, but we may face circumstances outside of our control, such as injuries and relying on the young players who lack experience to play big matches. Such conditions may lead to losing any match.”

He concluded his testament by saying: “We have full confidence in the young players’ skills and the role of experienced team players to help them in their career. We are looking forward to seeing them to compete in the Handball General League and the President’s Cup and be able to clinch more titles to the team’s record as we did last season and to win the title of the UAE Handball Cup.”
