H.H. Mubarak Ahmed Bin Hmouda Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Club Investment Company, expressed his pleasure with the success of Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium Ramadan Tournament, which concluded in the evening of Friday 1st June 2018 and held in the football fields of the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium. He pointed out: “The proof for the success of the tournament is the massive numbers of fans who attended all the matches of the tournament and I have to extend my thanks and appreciation for the sponsors.”

He added: “The success of the tournament was subject to the attendance of fans. Indeed, it attracted a massive number of fans and not to forget the number of participating team who honorably competed to win the title of the tournament and were committed to sportsmanship which reflected positively on the high technical level of the tournament. He pointed out: “We will definitely assess all aspects of this version in order to further boost the positive aspects and avoid negative points, if any, in the coming years in which the tournament will expend to include other sports other than football.”

Sultan Rashed, Board Member of Al Ain Club Football Company and Sports Director of Al Ain Academy, said that the code for the success of the tournament was the great efforts exerted by the Organizing Committee who harnessed all available sources to overcome all the obstacles that faced them, in addition to the commitment of all participating teams with sportsmanship, ethics of the game and the spirit of competition.

Sultan said: “We faced one main challenge that is the tight schedule of preparation for the tournament as the idea of holding the tournament was addressed one month prior the month of Ramadan, but Al Ain Club with its qualified and experienced staff managed to organize this tournament which is not only successful in terms of organization but also technically as the participating teams exhibited a strong and stunning level of performance which reflected positively on the competition and that was apparent during the final rounds.”

He added: “The success of this tournament in its first edition confirms that it starts big and certainly makes everyone wait eagerly for the second edition in the coming month of Ramadan. Mubarak Ahmed Bin Hmouda Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Club Investment Company, H.E. Sultan Rashed, Board Member of Al Ain Club Football Company, H.E. Naser Al Ma’amari, Director of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments in Al Ain, Mr. Ahmed Fares Al Azzani, Member of the Municipal Council of Al Buraimi Governorate, and Ahmed Abdullah, the Legend of the “Boss” and Assistant Head Coach of Al Ain First Football Team.

In the final match held between Jafra Contracting Co., Champion of Companies Group, and Al Jazira, Champion of Fans Group, the two teams exhibited a stunning performance worthy of the two groups champions where the players showed a high and excellent technical and tactical level during the two halves of the match and the massive numbers of spectators interacted enthusiastically with the stunning performance of the players. Jafra Team were able to win the match from the penalty point following the end of the original time by a positive draw of 2-2.

H.E. Mubarak Ahmed Bin Hmouda Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Club Investment Company, honored best players of the tournament with the awards. Awards were granted to Ahmed Jamal from Tawam Hospital Team as the Best Player from the Companies Group, Khalid Mohammed from the “Boss” Team was granted the Best Player of the Fans Group. Sultan Betti from Tadweer Team was granted the Top Scorer Award of the Companies Group, Hamad Mousa from the “Boss” Team was awarded the Best Player Award of the Fans Group, Abdulla Bader El Dien of Jafra Contracting Team was honored as the Best Goalkeeper of the Companies Group, Nader Al Bloushi of Al Jazira was granted the Best Goalkeeper Award of the Fans Group and the Moroccan Community Team was granted the Fair Play Award.

Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, stressed that his meeting on Tuesday with His Highness Shaikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, had a special incense that reflects the vitality of the leader who is passionate about knowledge.

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan posted in his official Twitter account in the evening of Wednesday 30th May: “Our meeting with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid yesterday had a special incense that reflects the vitality of visionary leader who is passionate about knowledge and the grounds of development, advancement and progress.”

He added: “In Shindagha Heritage Council featured by novelty and tradition the stature is growing and the values of love, goodness and beauty are further entrenched and we are honored and proud of this amazing integration between a living heritage and vibrant modernity.”

Worth mentioning, the Vice-President of the UAE, received Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Shindagha Heritage Council located in Al Khor Area near Bur Dubai in the presence of Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, where they exchanged Ramadan greetings.

On Friday 1st June will witness the end of the Super Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium Ramadan Tournament by holding the final match between the champion of the Fans Group Al Jazira team and Jafra Contracting team who topped the Companies Group.

The tournament was launched on the third of Ramadan with the participation of 16 teams with prizes exceeding 100,000 dirhams. The teams were divided into two groups: Companies Group and Fans Group. The participating teams competed over two weeks within four subgroups in each group and more than 160 players from locals and other nationalities represented by the community teams and exhibited an excellent performance throughout all matches which did not witness any red cards.

The winner team of the Super Cup will receive a prize of 20,000 thousand dirhams in addition to 15,000 dirhams for winning the title of the group in which they were compete in. There are also prizes for the Best Player, Top Scorer and the runners up in each group.

As for the journey of both teams during the tournament, Al Jazira topped their group with two draws with Al Khulaif by 1-1 and Al Hazem by 0-0 and won the “Boss” by 3-1 and in the semifinal match they surprisingly won the Moroccan Community Team from the penalty point by 2-1 as the match ended by a goal for each in the original time. In the final match Al Jazira faced with the runner up of their group, the “Boss” and repeated the victory in the final match by beating them by 2-1 to be the crowned as the champion of their group.

As for the Jafra Contracting Team, they were placed second as they won Al Ain Team by 2-1 and lost their match against Tawam Hospital by 3-0 and tied with Al Ain Police by 1-1 in the semi-final match. Jafra Team was able to won Tadweer Team who was nominated to be the winner of the title by 3-0. In the final match of the Companies Group, Jafra surprisingly won Tawam Hospital by 2-1.

Jafra Contracting and Al Jazira football teams qualified for the final match of the Final Super Hazza bin Zayed Stadium Ramadan Tournament which kicked off on 3rd of Ramadan month. The two teams qualified after Jafra Contracting team topped the Companies Group as the team won Tawam Hospital team, who were a candidate to win the title, by 2-1. Meanwhile, Al Jazira turned the table on the “Boss” team who took the lead in the beginning when they scored a goal, but Al Jazira was able to return strongly and scored two goals and topped the Fans Group.

As for Jafar Contracting team, they continued to shine and performing well in the tournament following they won Tadweer team in the semifinal match and qualify to play against Tawam Hospital team in the final and to be the surprise of the tournament by beating Tawam by 2-1 scored by the two stars of the team, Haitham Al Azizi and Abdullah Badr El Dein.

Al Jazira in their second match played against Al Ain and were able to turn the result after they conceded a goal in the early minutes. Later, Al Jazira scored two goals in a strong game featured by excitement until the last minute.

At the end of the matches, Sultan Rashid, Board Member of Al Ain Club Football Company, honored players Abdullah Badr El Dein from Jafra Contracting and Mohammed Al Hosani from Al-Jazira as the best players in the final matches of the tournament.
