Al Nasr Bahrain were crowned champions of the inaugural Al Ain International Youth Volleyball Championship after completing a perfect campaign, winning all five of their matches in the tournament, which was held from August 30 to September 4 at Khalifa bin Zayed Sports Hall in Al Ain.

The championship was organised by Al Ain Club under the patronage of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, in strategic partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and in technical cooperation with the UAE Volleyball Association.

Al Nasr Bahrain opened their campaign with a 3–0 victory over Qatar’s Al Arabi before recording an identical result against Al Rayyan Qatar. They continued their winning run with a 3–0 victory over Kuwait’s Burgan, followed by a 3–1 win over hosts Al Ain. They concluded their impressive campaign with a 3–0 victory over Kuwait’s Al Qadsia to secure the title with a perfect record.

The closing ceremony featured the exchange of commemorative shields among the participating teams. Al Nasr Bahrain were presented with the championship trophy and gold medals, while Al Rayyan Qatar received the silver medals after finishing runners-up, with Al Arabi Qatar taking the bronze medals after securing third place.

The winners were crowned by Juma Mater Khalifa Al Nuaimi, The CEO of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, Awad Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the UAE Volleyball Association and Chairman of the Championship’s Competition Committee; and Ahmed Sultan Al Nuaimi, Championship Director, in the presence of representatives from the participating teams.

The International Junior Volleyball Championship, organized by Al Ain Club under the patronage of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, in strategic partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and in technical cooperation with the UAE Volleyball Federation, continues at the Khalifa bin Zayed Sports Hall in Al Ain.

The first match saw Bahrain’s Al Nasr continue its positive results by defeating Kuwait’s Burgan 3–0, securing its third consecutive victory since the start of the championship and maintaining its strong presence in the competition.

The “Qatari clash” ended with Al Rayyan defeating Al Arabi 3–1 after a strong encounter between the two teams strengthening its position in the competition.

Three matches will be played tomorrow Thursday, between Al Ain and Bahrain’s Al Nasr, followed by Qatar’s Al Rayyan and Kuwait’s Burgan, concluding with the match between Qatar’s Al Arabi and Kuwait’s Al Qadsia.

The organizing committee confirmed the rising levels of technical performance among the players of the participating teams, as the competition approaches decisive stages in the race for the top positions and to strengthen the chances of determining the champion.

It noted that the competition continues according to the approved schedule, amid comprehensive organizational and technical readiness, praising the sporting atmosphere that has characterized the championship since its launch and the players’ high spirits.

Al-Nasr Bahrain Maintain Perfect Record at Al Ain International Volleyball Tournament

Al-Nasr Bahrain opened the second round of the Al Ain International Volleyball Tournament with their second consecutive victory, defeating Al-Rayyan Qatar 3–0.

The tournament, organised by Al Ain Club under the patronage of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, in strategic partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and in technical cooperation with the UAE Volleyball Federation, is being held at Khalifa bin Zayed Sports Hall in Al Ain.

In the all-Kuwaiti encounter, Al-Qadsia defeated Burgan 3–0 to claim their first victory of the tournament, following their opening-round defeat to Al-Rayyan Qatar.

The third match witnessed a highly competitive battle that went all the way to a fifth set, with Al-Arabi Qatar securing a 3–2 victory over Al Ain.

Following these results, Al-Nasr Bahrain continued their strong start with a perfect record from two matches, while Al-Qadsia Kuwait and Al-Arabi Qatar joined the winners’ circle. Competition among the participating clubs is expected to intensify in the coming rounds as they look to secure further positive results and strengthen their position in the race for the top places.

The organising committee confirmed that the tournament has featured a high technical level from the participating clubs, highlighting the importance of the event in providing young players with opportunities to gain valuable experience and compete against leading Gulf clubs in a competitive environment.

The committee also announced that Wednesday will be a rest day for the participating teams, with an awards ceremony and an exchange of commemorative shields scheduled to take place before the competition resumes on Thursday.

Three matches will be played on Thursday: Al Ain vs Al-Nasr Bahrain, followed by Al-Rayyan Qatar vs Burgan Kuwait, and finally Al-Arabi Qatar vs Al-Qadsia Kuwait.

Al Ain Hosts International Junior Volleyball Championship with Local and Gulf Participation

Al Ain region will host the International Junior Volleyball Championship, organized by Al Ain Club at the Khalifa bin Zayed Sports Hall, under the patronage of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and in cooperation with the UAE Volleyball Federation, from August 30 to September 4.

The tournament’s Organizing Committee announced that the current edition will feature the participation of six local and Gulf teams: Al Ain, Al Qadsia and Burgan from Kuwait, Al Rayyan and Al Arabi from Qatar, and Al Nasr from Bahrain.

The Organizing Committee confirmed that all organizational and technical preparations for the event have been completed, including preparations for the competition venues, teams, referees and spectators, as well as receiving delegations, accreditation, media coverage and the award ceremony.

It added that hosting the tournament in Al Ain will contribute to strengthening its position as a distinguished platform for sporting events and consolidating its presence on the tournament calendar, in line with efforts to promote sports tourism and attract athletes and visitors from within and outside the UAE.

It noted that the patronage of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi reflects its support for events that contribute to enhancing the status of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain as distinguished destinations for sporting and tourism events, in addition to the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, in line with the importance of quality tournaments in developing the sports sector and supporting young talents.

The committee also revealed the cooperation of the UAE Volleyball Federation in the technical aspects of the tournament, while Al Ain Club will be responsible for organizing and hosting the tournament and overseeing its various operational and organizational aspects.

The Organizing Committee has allocated cash prizes for the top three finishers to enhance the spirit of competition, alongside draws and prizes for spectators, to increase engagement and provide attendees with an integrated sporting and entertainment experience.

Al Ain Club has officially signed Polish head coach Dominik Kwapisiewicz to lead the first volleyball team for the upcoming sports season.

Kwapisiewicz brings a wealth of coaching experience from European and Polish volleyball. He has managed several prominent European clubs and served as part of the Polish national team’s coaching staff, making him a strong addition to the technical staff of the “Boss.”

For his part, Kwapisiewicz expressed his delight at joining the “Boss” stronghold in his first coaching tenure in the region and the Gulf. The designs blend the club’s historical identity with the latest global innovations, and embody the Boss “Al Zaeem” close connection to Al Ain city and its cultural and civilizational legacy.

The launch of the new kits represent an extension of the strategic partnership between Al Ain and GMG, as part of their keenness to provide a visual identity that reflects the club’s position and keeps pace with their sporting ambitions, while preserving its values ​​and traditions extending throughout the decades.

The design of the principal kits was inspired by the palm tree; one of the most prominent historical and national symbols in Al Ain and the UAE, its details have been reformulated in a modern design that reflects the club’s identity and emphasizes its relevance to the community, while preserving the purple color that has become an integral part of the identity of the Boss “Al Zaeem”.

While the reserve kits came in gold and white to celebrate the “Golden League”, one of the most prominent milestones in Al Ain Club history. Al Ain Club and Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Medical City sign a strategic partnership to enhance health care and sports medicine

During a ceremony held in the Chairman’s Hall at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, Al Ain Club and Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Medical City – SEHA announced the signing of a strategic partnership agreement, in line with the two sides’ keenness to enhance integration between the sports and health sectors, and to promote the levels of health care and medical services provided to players, club members and the community.

The agreement was signed by Rashid Abdullah, Executive Director of Al Ain Investment Company, on behalf of Al Ain Club and Dr. Sultan Mohamed Alkaram, CEO of SEHA Hospitals in Al Ain Region, on behalf of Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Medical City – SEHA.

His Highness congratulated the players, staff, board members, and supporters on their achievements, and wished all teams across the UAE success in the coming seasons.
