The Assistant coach of Al Ain First Handball Team, Mustafa Al Kaabi, hailed the team’s performance and sensational victory over Al Wasl and was crowned as runners-up of the Vice-President’s Handball Cup.
Al Kaabi led the team as a coach in front of Al Wasl due to the absence of the Tunisian coach, Mohammad Abu Ghazaleh, for health issues. As a result, the team qualified to the final stage of the cup and ended as runner-up when they won Al Wasl 27-25.
Mustafa stressed that the second place is not worthy of the Boss. “We aspired to win the first place be crowned as the winner of the titles in all competitions. Indeed, we lost the first match and faced certain problems when we played against Al Sharjah, which led us to end up as runners-up. However, all sights were set to win the Vice-President’s Cup and back home with the title.”
Al Kaabi concluded his speech by saying: “Thanks should go to everyone for all that they have done in the tournament, and we will close this chapter and focus on the league. But, first, we would analyze the team’s performance and fix all mistakes committed.”
He pointed out that the head coach Mohammed Abu Ghazaleh will soon join the goalkeepers’ coach Tunisia’s Yusri Al Mazeni, and certain international players. This definitely will boost the team’s performance.
Mustafa Al Kaabi concluded his statement by stressing that the team will be ready for the league and President’s Cup.
