Al Ain Jujitsu female player, Shouq Abdullah Salem Al Jaberi, who won the gold medal in the 48kg category during her participation in the third round, confirmed that the female contenders from all clubs exhibited high level of skills but we had determination to face the challenge and win.

Shouq said: “Preparations for this tournament lasted for more than a month and included intensive daily training sessions. At any rate, I did manage to win all her matches and was able to snatch the gold medal.”

Shouq expressed her aspiration to participate in the upcoming international championships and that she seeks to contribute to raising the UAE’s name high by achieving outstanding sporting achievements in these leading forums.

Al Ain Club tops the third round of President’s Cup for Jujitsu dedicated for clubs for 2017-2018 season which was held at Shabab Al Ahli Dubai Club in Dubai on Saturday evening with a total score of 2,107 points. The players were divided into three categories for both male and female teams: U-17, U-20 and above 21.

Al Ain Club won the third round with 755 points picking up 18 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 5 bronze medals. By this result, the team’s fighters added the new earned points to their points of first and second rounds to have a total of 2,107 points.

The players resumed their training sessions in preparation for the new challenges and to add more points to the total points they have already achieved during the first, second and third rounds. The fourth round competitions are scheduled to be held at Bainouna Educational Campus in Al Dhafra on February 2018, while the fifth round is planned to be held at Mubadala Arena at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi where the top three teams will honoured.

Al Ain squad went on achieving victories in the Premiere Volleyball Championship following beating Ajman by 3-0 in matchweek 6 of the championship held at indoor court at Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain Club.

Al Ain players were able to finish the first round by 25-17 in their favour. The second round was so exciting and ended by 25-23 to the advantage of the Boss who manged to finish the third round by 25-23 in their favour. By this result, Al Ain balance becomes 21 points.

H.E. Khamis Obaid Al Ka’abi, Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company, received the Swimming Association delegation headed by H.E. Sultan Saif Al Samahi, President of UAE Swimming Association, Jumaa Saeed Al Bloushi, Vice President of President of UAE Swimming Association, and Maryam Al Shamesi, Member of the Board of Directors of UAE Swimming Association.

The delegation was also received by Khuwaiter Al Dhahiri, Board Member of Al Ain Sports Games Company, Abdul Aziz Al Junaibi, Board Member of Al Ain Sports Games Company and Ahmed Al Nuaimi, Sports Director of Al Ain Sports Games Company.

During the important meeting held during the visit, the attendees tackled means of developing swimming sport in the State in general and women’s sports in particular. Following the meeting, the delegation accompanied by H.E. the Chairman and members of Al Ain Sports Games Company toured Hazza bin Zayed Stadium to see the lofty sports stadium where the matches of the World Cup for Clubs 2017 were held.

H.E. Khamis Obaid Al Ka’abi expressed his deep appreciation to the President of UAE Swimming Association and the accompanying delegation for the splendid initiative which will lead to achieving good results in the interest of UAE sports in the future.

Al Ka’abi emphasized that there are new ideas that will be put forward regarding women’s sport and how to activate their role more effectively through the upcoming meetings with the delegation of the Swimming Association. He pointed out that Al Ain Club welcomes all individual and collective sports Associations to visit the club and address ideas that contribute to the revitalization of sports in UAE.
H.E. President of the Swimming Association hailed the efforts of the Club expressing his pleasure by the fruitful cooperation with Al Ain Club which is the first professional sports entity in UAE.

Al Samahi pointed out that the aim of the visit is to develop swimming sport at UAE level and to support clubs to achieve the desired goals in the coming future.

Al Ain Men Volleyball Team were able to achieve an important victory over their hosts, Al Wasl, by 3-0 in matchweek 5 of the Premier Men’s Volleyball Championship in the match held at the indoor court at Za’beel Stadium in Dubai.

Al Ain players managed to finish the first round by 25-18. In the second round, they resume their stunning performance and were able to end it in their favour easily and confidently taking the lead by ten points 25-15. The third round was similar to the first round in terms of performance and Al Ain squad was able to finish it by 25-18 to win the match by 3-0.

Al Ain Men Handball Team lost to Al Shabab Al Ahli Dubai by 19-26 in matchweek 1 of UAE Cup in the match held at Shabab Al Ahli Dubai Club in Dubai.

The first half ended by the home team taking the lead by 13-6. In the second half, the hosting team was able to maintain their lead and to finish the match by 26-19.

Worth mentioning, this tournament has two legs and Al Ain’s squad is missing the efforts of the international players who have already joined UAE Handball National Team in preparation for the Asian Qualifiers for the Men’s World Handball Cup scheduled to be held in South Korea in January 2018.

Al Ain volleyball team has beaten AL Jazira 3-1 in the fourth round of the UAE Volleyball League.

The Garden City Club was taking the lead from the beginning of the game played at Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium of Al Ain Club.

The results of the sets were 25/14, 22/25, 25, 23 and 25/15.
