Al Ain Sports Club Company was so keen to honor Jujitsu Team Champs following winning the title of the President’s Cup in the presence of H. E. Khamis Obaid Al Ka’abi, Chairman of Al Ain Sports Club Company. The ceremony was also attended by the members of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports Club Company, the Executive Director, the administrative staff, coaches, players and their parents.

Al Ain Men’s Volleyball Team won the Premier League Title after a 3-0 win over Al Nasr Club at the game held at the indoor sports hall in  Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium at Al-Ain Club in the final leg of the league playoffs. The first leg ended with the same score, thus Al Ain became the league champion for the second time in a row and tenth in its history.
Al Ain faced no notable difficulty for winning the game, as the first period ended with 18/25, the second period was similar to the first one being won by Al Ain 25/20, and then Al Nasr announced its full surrender in the game, as the “Boss” won the third period 25/11. The referee blew the final whistle to announce Al Ain as the league champion for this year.
After the end of the game, HE Abdul Mohsen Al Dosari, Assistant Secretary of Sports Affairs at the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare, HE Yousef Al Mulla, Chairman of Emirates Volleyball Federation, Ghanem Al Hajri, President of Al Ain Football Club, and Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of Al Ain Club Sport  Games, crowned the champions and conferred Al Ain players the gold medals and then the league shield was delivered to team captain Khaled Mahmoud.

Champions Record
The list of champions for this year included Abdullah Hareb Zweid, team administrator, the Egyptian team coach, Ahmed Mustafa and players “Khalid Mahmoud (captain of the team), Walid Thani, Mohammed Shamal, Khamis Abdullah, Vladimir (the Serbian professional player), Mohammed Suleiman, Adel Ateej, Mohamed Atta, Saeed Ali Hamoud, Jamal Mohammed, Mubarak Khalifa Swaidan, Mohammed Salem Al-Badi, Salem Jawhar and Mohammed Abdullah Fayrouz, “along with Ragab Qutb, Yasser Farouk, the Team Physician and Abdulqayom, worker.

Success Strategy
HE Mr. Khamis Obaid, Chairman of Al Ain Club Sports Games, affirmed that the commitment of all to the successful strategy laid down by His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, First Vice President of Al Ain Club, the first Vice-President of the Honorary Council, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, has led the sports to keep pace with the signs of development and achieve the highest indicators of success, and I believe that winning the volleyball league title is a natural result of the high care and generous support, the club kept receiving from his Highness.
Al-Kaabi congratulated the leadership of the club and the members of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Club Sports Games, the technical and administrative staff, the players of the first volleyball team and Al Ain fans for winning the league title of this year.
He assured that the achievement is a result of the togetherness of all, who worked to show the best they have, each in his position, in order to pave the road to success for the team, pointing out that their next goal is to achieve the UAE President’s Cup and add it to the other titles in the club treasury.
Khamis pointed out that the team had some difficulties in this season including, the change the coach and then participation in GCC Champions League held in Qatar, in which the team didn’t perform as desired, but it managed to overcome those difficulties, return more powerful in the league championship and win the title, the matter which can only be found in great clubs such as Al Ain Club.

Reconsideration
Al Ain Club coach Ahmed Mustafa, the Egyptian national, congratulated the chairman and members of the board of Al Ain Club Sports Games, the administrative staff, the assistant technical staff, the players and fans who attended the game on Al Ain’s winning of the league title for the second time in a row.
Ahmed Mustafa pointed out that there is a UAE President’s Cup, for which we must be well prepared within the next ten days, and focus in order to win its title and add it to this year’s league title.
Al Ain coach thanked the Volleyball Federation for organizing and honoring, calling for a reconsideration of the playoff system, and that the league should become in two rounds only, in which the team that win the largest number of points becomes the champion of league, With the aim of bringing justice to the leaders who may face problems in the team during the playoff stage, whether injuries or suspensions.

The Precious Cup
Abdullah Zuwaid, Managing Director of the Al Ain volleyball team, expressed his happiness at the team’s achievement, congratulating everyone for Al Ain’s winning the league title, pointing out that the championship was achieved after overcoming many of challenges faced by the team since the start of the season, and assuring that support provided to the team by all has contributed greatly to the return of the spirit of the team especially following the change of coach.
Zuwaid said that there is a UAE President’s Cup, for which we must be well prepared in order to achieve more titles, especially that that tournament bears a name dear and precious to all, and Al Ain didn’t manage to win it the past two seasons.
The Difficult Task
Al-Ain volleyball player Mohammed Shaml assured that their task in the competition for the league title was not easy, particularly that we are champions of the last edition, as the difficulty lies in maintaining the title and never give it up.
“I think that not achieving the required results in GCC Champions League has given us a  strong motivation to change the way we appeared in Qatar, therefore, we were determined to make up by winning the league title. Thank God, together, we managed to reach our goal” He added.
Shaml also praised the efforts made by the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Club Sports Games and his teammates in addition to the great job done by coach Ahmed Mustafa, as he managed,  in a short time, to make a remarkable difference in the team, and give all Players the right to participate in matches, the matter which helped create a spirit of competition within the team.
The Al Ain player expressed his deep appreciation to Al Ain fans who supported the team during his tour in the league as well as the role they played in the final match by providing the perfect support that contributed significantly to winning the league title.

H.E. Khamis Obaid Al Ka’abi, Chairman of Al Ain Sports Club Company, praised the players of Al Ain Handball Club, winners of UAE Cup, and praising the efforts paid by the technical and administrative staff and all who contributed to the success story of AL Ain Handball Team.

In the meantime, he condemned the awkward incidents took place during final match of the UAE Youth Cup between Al Ain and Al Jazeera teams. He emphasized, “The state of chaos and tension which the final match witnessed distorted the image of handball since it has nothing to do with sportsmanship and does not reflect the institutional values ​​of the two great clubs and their sports goals.”

1. E. Mr. Chairman directed Ain Handball Club management to submit a detailed fact report on the grounds that led to such incident to take the appropriate decisions accordingly. He stressed Al Ain Sports Club’s keenness to uphold values, ethics and spirit of sport.

Al Ain youth handball team was crowned as the champions of the UAE Handball Cup after defeating Al Jazeera team in the final match 34-31. The match was held in Rashid Bin Hamdan court at Al Nasr Club.

The first half ended by 21-8 to the advantage of Al Jazeera. However, Al Ain was able to come back to the match and ended the second half by a thrilling draw 23-23. So, the two teams went to the two extra times, that is the first half and second half and both last only for five minutes. By the end of the first half, the two teams drew by 31-31 goals. In the second extra time half, Al Ain was able to end the draw result and score 34 goals although   the referee sent off 4 players of Al Ain by red cards. The remaining team players of Al Ain in the court were only two players and a goalkeeper; nevertheless, they fight till the last minute and these heroes were able to end the match to the advantage of Al Ain by 34 – 31. With this great result, Al Ain Handball Team was able to add this cup next to the trophies and cups in the cupboard of the Club.

The Coronation Ceremony

The Assistant Secretary-General of the General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare, Khalid Al Madfa’, President of the Emirates Handball Federation, Mohammed Abdul Karim Julfar, Vice-President of the Federation, Mohammed Sharif, Secretary General of the Federation, Nabil Ashour, and Saleh Al Shai’li, member of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports Club, crowned the winners with the gold medals and the Tournament Cup.

The Heroes’ Golden List

The golden list of Al Ain Youth Handball Team heroes included: – Hamad Al Badi, Salem Khalfan, Hamad Salem, Zayed Mesfer, Hazza Khalifa, Saeed Hashim, Mohammed Abdullah, Sultan Hilal, Issa Hilal, Sulaiman Hareb, Saeed Al Marar, Mohammed Ali Al Mansouri, Mohammed Khalfan, Khalil Kamal, Abdullah Matar and Saif Al Balushi. In addition to to Mustafa Mousa, Team Manager, Tunisian Yousri Mazni, Head Coach, Abu Al Yazeed Younis, physiotherapist and Shamoun, administrative officer.

Al Ain Men’s Volleyball Team qualified for the final match in the league championship after winning Al Wasl in three clean halves. The game that took place at indoor court of Al Wasl Club as part of the second leg of the “playoff” stage of the Volleyball General League.
Al Ain managed to win the first half by 25-20 to continue maintaining their superiority and be able to finish the second half by 25-19. With this great result, the Burble team entered the third half with better chances and ended it by 25-18. By such perfect result, Al Ain team won the match by clean three halves.
Winning this match, Al Ain qualified to the final of the league championship following wining the first and second leg matches at the expense of Al Wasl. Al Ain team will meet Al Nasr Volleyball Team who qualified to the final match also after they defeated Al Shabab Team.
Al Ain will face Al Nasr in the first leg on 2 May 2017 at Al-Nasr court. The second leg and final match is scheduled to be held at the Indoor Sports Hall of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain on 9 May 2017.

Al Ain Men’s Volleyball Team achieved an important triumph on their “playoff” first round against their rival team occupying the fourth standing Al Wasl, with three halves against two halves in the game that took place at the Indoor Sports Hall of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.
The game witnesses fierce and excessive contention; as it extended to around two and a half hours. Al Ain managed to win the first half 25/20, but the away team Al Wasl made a fierce comeback and won two halves in a row 25/22 and 26/24 respectively. Next, Al Ain managed to regain balance over again and won the fourth half 25/22, so the two teams went through the decisive fifth half which the violet team won 15/10, thus ending the game with three won halves against two. In the second round of “playoff” game, Al Ain looks forward to getting a triumph to confirm qualifying to the final game of the league tournament, when they meet Al Wasl next Tuesday, this 25 April on Al Wasl Playground in Dubai.

Mazyad Family Festival will be set out in Al Ain City at Mazyad Sports Club of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. The event will include numerous sport and entertainment activities apt to all society individuals and segments.
The festival will bring in many entertaining activities, including a large number of mobile restaurants, children’s sport games, special stage designed to offer many amusing activities, such as: face painting, cultural games, stage magic and illusion, the funny clown and many in-kind prizes to be presented to participants in the contest activity.
H.E. Hamad Bin Nukhirat Al Ameri, Managing Director of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, stated “The Club’s Senior Management has always been keen to enhance communication with the society and improve the services provided by the Club through creating conditions for active participation in sports and cultural events designated for citizens and residents of UAE in general and Al Ain in particular. Such keenness becomes one of the priorities of Al Ain Club and its subsidiaries.”
Worth mentioning, this festival is part of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club annual plan to organize community events and cultural and recreational activities.

E Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of Al Ain Club for Sports, congratulated the swimming squad members, coaches, administrators and technical teams for their recent achievement to be added to the team’s national and international record achievements of UAE. Such an achievement which has already contributed to raise the colors and name of UAE in the international competitions and the name of Al Ain at the local and regional level.

He added, “The unlimited support furnished by the club leadership’s being well founded by H.H. Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, and the First Vice President of Honorary Board and Chairman of Al Ain Club, will further upsurge our determination to win more titles and championships. We emphasize our confidence in the players’ capabilities for their determination to win and stand on the international victory stands.”

Al Ka’abi pointed out, “The club will spare no effort in dedicating whatever it takes to offer long-lasting assistance and support to our male and female players in order to promote UAE sport, meet our leaders’ aspirations and enhance our country’s standing in the international sports arena.”

This was achieved due to the participation of the Club’s swimmers in the recent Winter Tournament of UAE Clubs held during April 2017. Results were as follows:
•    The Club won the Junior Cup at the level of UAE clubs.
•    Top spot of 17 years competition.
•    Top spot of 15 years competition.
•    Runner up of 13 years competition.
•    Top spot of 11 years competition.
•    Runner up of 10 years competition.
•    Third spot of men stage (general).
•    Swimmer, Yacoub Al Saadi, from men category, won the Best Swimmer Cup and the Best Record Cup.
•    Swimmer Ahmad Al Hashemi won the Best Swimmer Cup and the Best Record Cup in 15 years stage.
•    Swimmer Hamad Ahmed Khalfan won the Best Swimmer Cup and the Best Record Cup in 11 years stage.

H.E. Al Ka’abi also hailed the players of Al Ain Club playing in UAE national team participating in all its age categories. He expressed his pride with the new records achieved by the club’s players during their recent participation in the GCC Teams Tournament held in Qatar on February 2017

BIN THALOUB MOHAMMED BIN HAMAD BIN MOHAMMED AL SHARQI DESERVES BEING UAE 2016 SPORTS PERSONALITY
H.E. Mohammed Bin Thaloub Al Derai, Chairman of Al- Ain Club for Investment Company and Member of Al- Ain Honorary Council, confirmed that awarding His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the Sports Personality for the year Award for 2016 in UAE was well deserved.
The announcement, made by the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare in appreciation of His Highness’s efforts in supporting the UAE sport without paying attention for being on the spot.
His efforts contributed significantly to the various sports and social areas, not only in Fujairah, but also all over the UAE.
His Highness has been one of the sport symbols in the UAE long ago. Thus, he deserved such honour in recognition of his sincere efforts which supported and enhanced sports in the UAE in general and in Fujairah in particular.
