Al Ain Men’s Handball Team achieved a paramount victory over Al Wasl by 23-21 in the match of Group B of UAE Cup held at the indoor court of Khalifa Stadium in Al Ain Club.

The first half ended while Al Ain squad taking the lead by 13-10. In the second half, Al Ain players resumed their fervent and quality performance to end up the match in their favor and to snatch its three points.

Al Ain is looking forward to winning the qualification card to the semi-finals of the UAE Cup when they meet Shabab Al Ahli Dubai Handball Team placed at the top spot of Group B scheduled to be held in Dubai this coming Friday 26th October 2018.

Al Ain First Volleyball Team reserved their place in the final match of the Vice-President’s Cup after beating Bani Yas by three clean rounds in the match held at the indoor court of Al Wasl Club in Dubai on Friday 19th October 2018.

Al Ain stars won Bani Yas in the first round by 25-20. This turned the match to be heated but the Boss squad won the second round by 28-26. In the third round, Al Ain champs made the history and won the opponent in the third round by 25-20.

By this remarkable result, Al Ain team qualified to the final match and is scheduled to play against Al Nasr on Saturday 27th October 2018 at the indoor court of Al Jazira Club in Abu Dhabi.

Noteworthy, this is the second time in a row for Al Ain team to qualify for the final match of the dearest cup following clinching the title last year.

Al Ain First Volleyball Team has gone with on their training sessions in preparation for the semi-final match of the Vice-President’s Cup against Al Bani Yas scheduled to be held on Friday 19th October 2018 at the indoor court of Al Wasl Club in Dubai.

The Brazilian Head Coach, Luciano Papke, held training sessions for the team stars implementing certain tactical maneuvers to cross over the opponent team and reserve their seat in the final match.

Noteworthy, Al Ain clinched the title of the previous version of the cup 2017 and seeks to maintain the title and be crowned with the team’s first title this season.

The Abu Dhabi Group held an extensive meeting to track and follow up the latest updates on the preparations, plans and organizational progress, given the kickoff of the countdown for the continental championship scheduled to be held during 5th January 2019- 1st February 2019 with the participation of 24 teams.
The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and chaired by H.E. Mohammed Bin Thaloub Al Deri, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Group, in the presence of H.E. Mr. Arif Hamad Al Awani, Championship Director and the Director of the Executive Office, and John Larch, CEO of Flash Entertainment Co., in addition to the group members.
At the beginning of the meeting, Al Deri welcomed the attendees and underscored the importance of continuing the work and efforts to achieve the expected high levels of success for all the matches of the upcoming continental event scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi. He added: “We have to consider that the opening and closing games are scheduled to be held in Zayed Sports City, in addition to other matches set to be held in Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium and Al Nahyan Stadium.”
Al Deri also availed the opportunity to extend his sincerest appreciation and gratitude to UAE wise leadership for their unlimited support and interest in developing and improving the sport sector. He stressed that sport has achieved advanced top ranks for the extensive support it receives incessantly. He also hailed the directives and constant follow up of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee of the AFC Asian Cup- UAE 2019.

Al Deri underscored the fact that UAE has already passed the stage of winning the challenge of organizing the upcoming continental event to move forward. “In light of the great and rich expertise that the State gained over the past years through organizing and hosting the most significant international sporting events, we gained the admiration and appreciation of the international and continental associations and the international media.”
“The UAE and the eight stadiums that will host the matches will attract the attention of the whole continent and the world as well. Indeed, through the constant organizational preparations and the big role of the working groups, we will make sure to have a distinguished championship that match the high prestige and reputation of the UAE,” he said.

Bin Thaloub went on to say: “I have been briefed today during the Abu Dhabi meeting on the overall organizational plans and happy that everything is on the right track. Thanks indeed to the great efforts paid by the members and national staff for their prominent role in exerting sincere efforts to emphasize the importance and role of the astounding organizational scene of the championship.”

“Abu Dhabi Group is so keen to follow up the progress of all the works and to complete all the steps. Based on that, we assure you that all Abu Dhabi stadiums are ready to host the championship in addition to the training fields,” he added.

Bin Thaloub stressed also the importance of the upcoming event and that it is necessary that all authorities cooperate to come up with an incredible organization at all levels. He stated: “I have full confidence in having a successful championship given the great potentials that the UAE enjoys, and the significant preparations carried out and supervised by the Local Higher Organizing Committee in coordination with the AFC, the organizing staff, volunteers and the various working teams. The UAE will always welcome everyone on the land of Zayed and the land of goodness, tolerance, love and peace.”

H.E. Arif Hamad Al Awani, Director of the Executive Office, also reviewed the latest updates on the progress achieved with regard to the organizational stages, the status of the stadiums, promotional campaigns, media, areas and zones assigned for the fans and services to delivered to all spectators, media representatives and VIP guests. Al Awani also gave a presentation on the accompanying activities scheduled to be held by the Local Higher Organizing Committee which aim to attract the attention of all segments of the UAE society. He also shed the light on the increasing number of volunteers of all nationalities. “This assures that all the society members are keen to be serve the championship which represents a unique getting together event for the big Asian football family in the UAE, the land of harmony and giving.

Tunisia’s Head Coach of Al Ain first handball team, Mohamed Abu Ghazaleh expressed his satisfaction with the level of the team during the last period during which they played several matches of UAE Handball Cup given some players’ lack of experience.

Abu Ghazaleh stressed that the Boss team is capable to be one of the competitors in all championships this season in light of the management’s responsiveness to meet all team’s requirements, in addition to the great improvement of the players’ performance in each match.

The coach added that the team’s coming training camp in Egypt would change a lot of the team’s shape in terms of the technical and tactical level.

On the other hand, Al Ain first handball team will continue their training sessions in preparation for Al Wasl conformation scheduled to be held on Saturday 20th October at the indoor court of Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain Club.

H.E. Khamis Obeid Al Ka’abi, Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company, expressed his pleasure with the success of the two-day Al Ain Jujitsu Junior Tournament held in Al Ain Club on 12-13 October 2018. He hailed the ideal atmosphere of the tournament and the great arrangements worthy of the Boss’ name and reputation.

Al Ka’abi stressed that the tournament was successful, and thanks go to the spirit of friendliness and the one family spirit exhibited by all the participating teams. “Indeed, the presence of families coming from all emirates to stand behind their sons and daughters gave this great event a special flavour.”

H.E. Mr. Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company availed the opportunity to extend his appreciation to the Jujitsu Association for their support in organizing such a significant tournament.

Commenting on the coming tournament to be held on 26th October 2018 in Al Ain Club, he stressed: “Al Ain Club is fully ready to host the coming grand tournament for professionals which will have onboard the most talented Jujitsu players in the world.”

Al Ain Handball Men’s Team was held to draw against the home team, Al Dhafra, by 21-21 in the match of preliminary round of Group B of UAE Handball Cup. The match was held at the indoor court of Baynounah Educational Complex in Al Dhafra Area.
Noteworthy, the first half ended by Al Ain taking the lead by 11-7. Al Ain will host AL Wasl Handball Team on Saturday 20 October 2018 at the indoor court of Khalifa Stadium in Al Ain Club.

Al Ain First Basketball Team lost to Al Wasl Basketball Team by 45-99 in matchweek 2 of the preliminary round of the Vice-President’s Cup which was held at the indoor court of Al Thiqqa Club for Handicapped in Al Sharjah.

Noteworthy, Al Ain team is scheduled to play against Al Batayeh Basketball Team on Monday 15th October 2018 at the indoor court of Al Nahyania School s part of matchweek 4 of the preliminary round of the Vice-President’s Cup.

Al Ain Jujitsu Girls Team won a total of 24 medals “12 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze” by the end of U-18 Jujitsu Tournament dedicated for girls. The tournament was held at the indoor court of Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain Club.

At the end of the tournament, H.E. Khamis Obaid Al Ka’abi, Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company, and H.E. Khuwaiter Al Dhaheri, Board Member of Al Ain Sports Games Company, honored the young champs.

Noteworthy, U-18 Jujitsu Tournament dedicated for males will end by completed Sunday 14th October 2018. The rounds of the tournament are scheduled to be held at the indoor court of Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain Club.

The champs of Al Ain First Volleyball Team are scheduled to play the semifinal match of the Vice-President’s Cup following defeating their rivals, Al Dhafra Team by 3-1 as part of Group B competitions. The match was held at the indoor court of Al Wasl Club in Dubai.

The stars of the Boss lost the first round by 18-25 but were able to turn the table and were able to win Al Dhafra by 25-14, 25- 18 and 25-16 in a row.

It is scheduled that Al Ain is to meet Bani Yas in the semifinal match at the indoor court of Al Nasr Club in Dubai on Friday 19th October 2018.
