Al Ain Celebrates the Delegations Participating in Al Ain Volleyball Championship

The Higher Organizing Committee of Al Ain International Volleyball Championship held a ceremony to honor the sponsors, supporters and participating teams on Wednesday 30th October 2019 at the Chairman’s Lounge at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.

The ceremony was attended by H.E. Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of Al Ain Club Sports Games Company and Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the Championship, Abdullah Jumaa Al Darmaki, Al Ain Club Sports Games Company and Director of the Championship, heads of participating teams, representatives of government entities, sponsoring companies and members of championship committees.

In his brief note, H.E. Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi expressed his sincere thanks to His Highness Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Club, for his continuous and generous support and follow-up and his interest in sports.

Al Kaabi also hailed all efforts exerted by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in support of the capital’s clubs.

He welcomed the presidents and members of the participating teams, wishing them a pleasant stay in their second homeland. He commended the high level of performance of the participating teams.

He also praised the role of government entities and the sponsors of the championship which contributed to the success of the event in a distinctive way.

Al Kaabi presented a comprehensive explanation about the Al Ain Club and its three affiliated companies. He also highlighted the achievement of the club in all categories of sports.

In conclusion, H.E. Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi honored the teams participating in the championship and presented them the Club’s shield along with a certificate of participation for each team. He also honored the sponsors of the tournament.

The participating teams were also so keen to exchange memorial shields with their counterparts.

Signing MoU Between Al Ain Club and Belarus’ Volleyball Association

Al Ain Club and Belarus’ Volleyball Association signed an MoU to boost mutual cooperation, to develop collective and individual sports games, and to exchange expertise between the two parties, Al Ain Club announced in the press conference held at the Chairman Lounge at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.

The press conference was attended by Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of Al Ain Club Sports Games Company and Mrs. Alaa Teterania, representative of the Belarusian Volleyball Association.

H.E. Khamis Al Kaabi expressed his deep pleasure for signing the MoU. He said: “We are sincerely seeking to develop the volleyball game in Al Ain Club and exchange expertise between Al Ain Club and Belarus Volleyball Association in all types of games.”

Al Kaabi highlighted the importance of signing such agreements for they help to furnish the success environment for the sports sector in future.

Mrs. Alaa Teterania, representative of the Belarusian Volleyball Association stated that she is so pleased to conclude such a partnership with Al Ain Club.

She stressed: “This MoU will guarantee high level of cooperation between the two parties in various areas, especially those associated with boosting up the technical, administrative, and organizational performance indicators. It also includes hosting training camps for both parties.”

She concluded her speech by wishing the two parties all the best and be able to realize the desired gains of signing this MoU.

Al Ain Tops Group A and Qualifies to the Semifinal Match

Al Ain Volleyball Team has qualified for the semifinal match of the Al Ain International Volleyball Championship by winning Al Wahda by 3-0 in the game held at the indoor court of Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium on Monday 28th October 2019.

Al Ain topped Group A with 7 points following losing the opening match to Al Jazira by 2-3, earning only one point. The squad won Belarus’ Energia Gomel in the second match by 3-2 and put firm hands on the first place by winning Al Wahda this evening.

Al Jazira also qualified to the semifinal as they placed second with 6 points in the standing table following losing to Belarus’ Energia Gomel by 2-3. The Belarusian team placed third with 5 points and Al Wahda in the fourth place with zero points.

Group B teams conclude their matches when Bani Yas meets Poland’s Kluczbork and Oman’s Al Seeb plays against Al Dhafra.

In A Stunning Opening Ceremony.. Al Ain International Volleyball Championship Kicks Off

Al Ain International Volleyball Championship kicked off on Thursday 24th October 2019 at Al Ain Club in the presence of H.E. Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company, Dr. Matar Rashid Al Darmaki, Chairman of Al Ain Football Club Company, Abdullah Al Darmaki, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Club, Members of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports Games Club, representatives of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, heads of delegations and volleyball fans.

The opening ceremony started with the national anthem, followed by a brief speech delivered by the Director of the Championship, H.E. Abdullah Al Darmaki. Then, the Abu Dhabi Police Musical Band exhibited a stunning musical show followed by the opera of “Unified Home” performed by students of Ni’ ma Basic Education School.

Al Ain Friendly International Volleyball Championship Kicks Off on Thursday 24th October

With the participation of 8 teams and organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), Al Ain International Volleyball Championship is scheduled to be launched on Thursday 24th October 2019.

The participating teams include Al Ain, Al Jazira, Al Wahda, Bani Yas, Al Dhafra, in addition to Oman’s Al Seeb, Energia Gomel of Belarus, and Klotchburg of Poland.

The championship would be kicked off with a simple opening ceremony on Thursday, 24th October 2019, at 17:30. The first match of the championship will be between Al Ain and Al Jazira to be held at 18:15 and then a second match between Al Wahda and Energia Gomel of Belarus at 20:15.

On the other hand, the qualifying meeting of the Al Ain International Volleyball Championship was held on Wednesday, 23rd October, at the meeting room at Aloft Hotel in Al Ain City. The meeting was chaired by Ahmed Sultan, Championship Deputy Manager, Abdullah Zwayyed, Head of Fields Committee, Mubarak Al Nuaimi, Head of Technical Committee, and representatives of the participating teams.

Ahmed Sultan welcomed the representatives of the participating teams and wished them a pleasant stay in Al Ain City, adding that all facilities are made available and efforts are exerted to ensure the success of the championship and provide comfort for all.

During the meeting, the technical regulations of the championship were approved; in addition, regulations were reviewed with the participation of the teams’ representatives. Also, colors the competing teams were identified, and training sessions program for all sides was distributed.

Following an Intense Competition with Local, Gulf and European Clubs.. Coach Veselin Vesko Signs to Al Ain Volleyball Team

Al Ain have signed the professional coach Montenegro’s Veselin Vesko to be in charge of the Boss Volleyball Team for one season following an intense competition with local, Gulf and European clubs, Abdullah Al Darmaki, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company stated in the press conference held to introduce the new coach to the media.

The coach Vesko returns to the UAE following a stunning and successful journey with the UAE National Youth Team in 2007 and to win the Gulf Volleyball Cup. In the same year, he assumed his responsibilities as the head coach of the Al Ain Volleyball Team to be one of the factors that led the team to the coronation podiums and to win the title of the league in 2007 following the decision taken to freeze the game in 2000. Moreover, Vesko did well and has a successful career with Montenegrin, Turkish, Japanese and Slovenian teams.

H.E. Abdullah Al Darmaki, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company, expressed his pleasure to see Vesko again with the team. He stated: “Vesko has the required experience and knows the team well. He is a successful coach who won numerous titles and cups the teams he coached during his career.”

On succeeding to make Vesko sign to Al Ain Team, Al Darmaki said: “After losing two tournaments this season which is not acceptable at all for a big team like Al Ain. There was an agreement that there must be a change in the team, so we had direct communication with Vesko, who we believe is best coach to lead the team. Our decision was based on Vesko’s vast experience in the game and his significant achievements with the teams he trained. However, there was a strong competition from other clubs to win the coach’s services, but we were able to reach an agreement with the coach who signed to the Boss and to lead the team in the next stages.”

In his turn, Montenegro’s coach expressed his pleasure with his return to the Boss’ fort again. “I had great memories with the Boss and happy to return after 11 years. I have great relationships with the players I trained previously, and this is one of the reasons that made me accept the Boss’ offer. Also, I do not forget the professionalism the Boss shoed during the negotiations.”

He signed off: “I hope to succeed and return to coronation podiums as we did in 2007.”

Hazza bin Zayed attends enthronement of new Japanese Emperor

(WAM) — On behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, attended the official enthronement ceremony of the new Japanese Emperor Naruhito on Tuesday at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.

Sheikh Hazza conveyed to Emperor Naruhito the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their wishes for Japan to achieve further progress and prosperity.

Sheikh Hazza stated that he was looking forward to strengthening UAE-Japan ties for the benefit of both countries and peoples.

Representatives of 195 heads of state and governments, senior officials, and international organisations, as well as around 2,500 local and international guests were invited to the event.

The ceremony was also attended by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and Special Envoy to Japan, and Khaled Omran Al Ameri, the UAE Ambassador to Japan.

Hazza bin Zayed receives members of Emirati diplomatic mission in Japan

(WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, today received, at his residence in Tokyo, Khalid Omran Al Ameri, UAE Ambassador to Japan, and members of an Emirati diplomatic mission.

Sheikh Hazza was briefed about the conditions of Emirati citizens currently residing in Japan and the services provided to Emirati citizens visiting the country.

He was also briefed about the efforts of the UAE Embassy to provide the best consular services and improve the ties between the two countries.

Sheikh Hazza highlighted the key role of the country’s diplomatic mission in reinforcing the UAE’s bilateral ties with Japan, which led to positive and concrete developments and are due to the keenness of their leaderships to enhance their overall cooperation.

Sheikh Hazza arrived in Tokyo to head a senior Emirati delegation on behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which will participate in the coronation of the new Japanese Emperor, Naruhito, to be held tomorrow at the Imperial Palace, upon an official invitation from the Japanese Government.

Hazza bin Zayed to attend enthronement of Japanese Emperor

(WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, arrived in Tokyo to attend the enthronement ceremony of Japanese Emperor Naruhito, which is scheduled to be held at the Imperial Palace on Tuesday.

Attending on behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and at the invitation of the Japanese government, Sheikh Hazza will take part in the ceremony along with other heads of states and dignitaries.

The Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council is accompanied by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and Special Envoy to Japan, Hamad Mubarak Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Petroleum Council, Jaber Mohammed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, General Director of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, and Major General Staff Pilot Ibrahim Nasser Mohammed Al Alawi, Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence.

Al Kaabi: The UAEJA Supports the Club in its Journey to Embrace Glory and its Efforts Exerted to Nominate Promising Stars to Join National Teams

H.E. Khamis Obeid Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Al Ain Sports Games Club Company, underlined that Al Ain Club is so keen to contribute to realizing the strategy of the UAE Jujitsu Association (UAEJA) set up to establish the standing of the UAE in introducing new international champs of the game.

He added: “Holding the Al Ain International Jujitsu Professional Championship for the sixth time in a row marks the genuine interest of the UAE residents in this sport and its values.”
“Indeed, the attendance of loyal jujitsu fans in massive numbers shows their passion for this sport and to follow the competitions and rounds of the championship,” Al Kaabi pointed out.

On the dates of the championship and whether they contradict with the days of the World Jujitsu Championship, he said: “The timeframe selected to hold this years’ championship carefully as it precedes the dates of the World Jujitsu Championship.”

“This year, we are seeking to apply the highest standards of refereeing and organization to host the championship in the right manner befitting the loyal fans attending the rounds of all competitions scheduled to be held in Al Ain City in coordination with UAEJA.”

Al Kaabi also stressed his confidence in the potentials of the Club’s jujitsu champions exhibit an honorable performance and their ability to achieve significant positive results and win medals befitting the name of the boss of UAE clubs.

Al Ain Club Management shows immense attention to the Ainawi champs and boosts up their quality skills in this sport with sights set high to represent the UAE National Team at the World Jujitsu Championship scheduled to be held next month.
