Ladies Challenge Kicks Off Tomorrow in Al Qattara

H. E. Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company and Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee for the Al Ain Women’s Football Club Tournament, stated that all arrangements are set to launch the Women’s Tournament.

“All arrangements would be completed by 25th January 2020 evening time to launch the tournament at Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Stadium in Al Qattara,” Al Kaabi announced launching the first edition of the Women’s Football Tournament in the press conference held the Chairman’s Lounge at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium on Friday 24th January 2020.

The Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the Tournament expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Council, First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council & Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, for the high care and generous support to sports and athletes in our beloved homeland in all games of all ages, affirming everyone’s commitment to His Highness’s strategy to keep pace with the signs of development and reach the highest indicators of success.

He added: “Based on the important role played by the Al Ain Club in establishing the principle of achieving standards of equality and equal opportunities between the sexes, and relying on our belief in the importance of the role of women in society, we are pleased to announce today that all arrangements are completed for hosting the Women’s Football Tournament scheduled to be held 25-29 January at Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Stadium in Al Qattara. The participating teams include Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Al Shoulla Football Club, Bahraini Super Soccer, UAE Women National Football Team, and the Al Ain Club Women Football Team.”

H.E. Khamis Obaid also stated that the leadership of Al Ain Club is committed to implement the principle of equal opportunities between the two sexes and to furnish the grounds for excellence and success for them in all tournaments and various age categories and games.

“Following the decision to establish the Al Ain Club Women’s Football Team, I do believe we are required to arrange for the appropriate atmosphere to have genuine champions who can achieve the desired aspirations in defending the club’s name and the reputation of UAE football in local and international competitions,” he pointed out.

Al Kaabi stated the observers of Al Ain Club Women Jiujitsu Team and their remarkable achievements and honorable performance in all tournaments they have achieved so far could assure that efforts should be boosted up to support women to realize the Club ambitions in preparing star athletes who could clinch titles and gold medals in the name of our beloved homeland and all competitions.

“The Al Ain Women’s Football Tournament is a valid starting point for a competition designed for women. With the generous support of the Club leadership, there are other tournaments to be held very soon, and details will be announced sooner.”

Al Kaabi concluded his speech by revealing the details and preparations of the tournament while wishing all the participating teams a pleasant stay in their second homeland in the Gardens City and achieving their desired goals.

Winning the Gold Medals of the Youth, Junior and Youngster Categories.. Al Ain Club Honors the Champs of the Vice-President Athletics Cup

In recognition of the teams’ remarkable achievements in the cross-country race for youth, juniors and cubs category held at Al Warqaa District in Dubai and winning the Vice President Athletics Cup , Al Ain Sports Games Company held a ceremony to honor the teams on Thursday 9th January 2020 at the Emirates University Stadium.

The ceremony was attended by the Board of Directors member, H.E. Khwaiter Al Dhahiri, Ahmed Sultan Al Nuaimi, Sports Director of the Al Ain Sports Games Club, and Mohamed Arabi, Director of the Individual Games, the technical and administrative staff of athletics in the club in addition to the young champs.

Khwaiter Al Dhaheri extended his sincerest appreciation to the technical and administrative staff and the players for this significant achievement, He wished them all the best of luck and urged them to continue their success journey in the upcoming competitions.

Al Dhaheri stressed that Al Ain Club always seeks to honor the distinguished athletics with significant records while pointing out that the Club strongly supports all its players in various individual and team games. “We will spare no efforts in supporting the star players and aspires to motivate them to achieve more victories with sights set to win titles in all competitions they participate in.”

Khwaiter pointed out that Al Ain Club is still in the stage of building a generation capable of achieving stunning results in all the games in the athletics championships. “This is what we reaped as fruits of our dedication and stamina in the Vice President Cup, in addition to winning cross-country race in the past month at the level of young, joiner and youngsters categories.”

Winning the Youth, Junior and Youngsters Championship.. Al Ain Club Clinches the Vice-President’s Cup for Cross-Country Championship

The champs of the Al Ain Athletics Club were the stars of the Vice-President’s Cup for Cross-Country Championship when they clenched the first spots in youth, junior, and youngsters categories. The winners were honored on Saturday, 4th January 2020, at the ceremony held at the Al Warqa Park, Dubai.

Al Ain Club champs succeeded in putting firm hands on the first spot of the youth category, winning the first three spots. Mohammed Al Bloushi was placed first, followed by Mohammad Atwa and Mohammad Taha, who won the bronze medal as he is placed third.

Al Ain Club juniors were also the stars of the championship when Mohammad Al Sadiq Ismail won the first place, followed by Ayoub Mohammad Al Mansoori, who won the silver medal and Imran Ahmed Abboud clinched the bronze medal.

Al Ain youngsters were up to it and clinched the first three spots. Yousef Al Sheikh won the golden medal, while his colleague Mohammed Al Rashid came second, and Munther Al Sadiq placed third winning the bronze medal.

At the end of the race, first place winners were honored by the UAE Athletics Association.
Hussein Darraj, the team’s head coach, took the opportunity to express his appreciation to the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports Games Company, their continuous care, and support. He also thanked the players for their outstanding performance and winning all the titles of the championship. He also wished all the best and to keep the high spirits up and to gain more titles in the upcoming competitions.

As part of the UAE Project to Have an Olympic Swimming Champion.. Al Ain Three Swimming Champs Join Away Swimming Camp in Hurghada

Al Ain Club Swimming champs flew to the Arab Republic of Egypt to join a one-month away training camp in the Hurghada city. The camp is scheduled to kick off on 13 December 2019 until 10 January 2020.

The camp is held as part of the framework of the strategic plan to have an Olympic champion set up by Al Ain Club to take part in global, Olympic, and local competitions this year.

Al Ain three players participating in this camp include Mohammad Rashid Al Kuwaiti, Saif Gharib Al Blooshi, and Saeed Jumaa Al Blooshi under the command of head coach Sharif Zakariyya Abd Rabu. The camp will last for 28 days in Hurghada, the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Khwaiter Al Dhaheri, the Board member of Al Ain Sports Games Company, said that the project proved to be successful since its inception and resulted in several gains at the level of the Club and the UAE national teams in various junior teams.

“We Look forward to boosting the three players’ level of fitness and readiness and be able to achieve the desired goals and perform honorably in the scheduled competitions on behalf of the Al Ain Club and national teams and raise the UAE flag high,” Khwaiter stated.

He signed off by wishing all the players all the best and be able to achieve the set goals.

Tunisia’s Hamza and Cuba’s George Join Up the Boss Volleyball Squad

Al Ain Sports Games Company has officially announced that both the Tunisian Hamza Naqqa and Cuban George Gonzalez Garcia signed to Al Ain First Volleyball Team.

The 29-year-old Tunisian player Hamza Naqqa, a player of the Tunisia National Volleyball Team, is well known for his quality skills. His recent statistics in the World Volleyball Cup- Japan 2019 held in October this year were super stunning. He was the best scorer by 175 points, launched 161 attacks, sent 11 successful servs, and succeed in 3 blockings.

Moreover, Hamza celebrated clinching the title of the African Volleyball Championship twice with the Tunisian National Volleyball Team and played a crucial role in winning the title of Tunisia Volleyball Cup with his team, The Étoile Sportive du Sahel (ESS).

As for the Cuban professional player George Gonzalez Garcia 28-years, he enjoys outstanding skills and known for his extensive quality experience. He knows the region well as he played for several Arab and Gulf teams and would be of an added value for the Boss squad, given he succeeded in winning many titles and cups with his previous clubs.

Garcia enjoys superior physical capacities, and he is more than a 2-meter high.

Hailed Al Ain Handball Team Performance Against Oman’s Muscat.. Al Shouaili: We Are “Fed Up” with the Referees Poor Performance

Saleh Al Shouaili, Board Member of Al Ain Sports Games Company, emphasized that Al Ain Handball Team performed well in their match of Group B of Al Jazira International Handball Tournament against Oman’s Muscat Handball Team although they were held at 30-30 draw.

Al Shouaili expressed his dissatisfaction with the level of refereeing in the tournament. “Referees poor performance harmed the players’ great chance to take advantage of playing against strong and quality teams.”

“Though it was a big clash match against the Omani brothers, the referee stopped the time by nearly 10 seconds. This short time was enough for the opponent team to take advantage of this gift, organize their lines, and to score from the penalty point in the dying seconds of the match. We were held at a draw despite the stunning performance of the players.”

“Al Ain team is fully ready for the upcoming match scheduled to be against Bani Yas. We will take our chances as there still hope to qualify despite the poor performance of the referees since the kickoff the tournament,” he pointed out.

Al Shouaili vent anger on the referees of the tournament by stating, “We have tried a lot during the past periods to support and encourage the referees despite their recurring mistakes.”

He concluded: “We are “fed up” with their mistakes. We have been badly hit, and we could no longer tolerate it. There must be solutions.”

Al Ain Swimming Team Claims a Record 11 Medals in the Emirates Swimming Cup.. Khuwaiter: We Are Over the Moon and Sights Are Set to Clinch More Titles

Al Ain Swimming Juniors have claimed 11 new records at the Emirates Swimming Cup held on 25-26 October 2019 at Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai.

Hamdan Mohammed Al Bloushi set a new record in the 15- and 16-years category in the 100 meters backstroke and won the first place in 1.00.75 at the level of UAE as the previous record was 1.04.72. He also added a new record time in the 200 back to be placed second in 2. 17.77, while the previous record time was 2.20.22.

Hamad Ahmed Khalfan of the 13-category broke the previous record time in the 200-meter butterfly, 2.58.71, to have a new one in his name by 2.51.61.

The star of the team, Mohammed Rashid Al Kuwaiti, was able to break four records in one shot and snatched the first place and the four gold medals of the four races he participated in. He won the 100-chest race in 1.21. Compared to the past time 1.24.95. In the 200-chest race, he broke the record achieving 2.59.65 while the previous one as 3.07.80, and he broke the record of the 100- mildly individual competition to win it by 1.11.79 while the record number was 1.12.95. Finally, he won the 50-meter chest race as he set a new record time by 36.01 while the former record time was 37.46.

In another context, Saif Ghareeb Al Bloushi succeeded in breaking a new record in the 50-meter chest race within 33.61 compared to the record 33.66. In the 200-meter mildly individual competition, he also broke the record in 2.40.42 while the record time was 2.48.67.

In the category of 10 years, Hamdan Falah Al Qahtani broke two new records. The first was in the 100-meter back competition, where he hit a time of 1.29.25 while the last time was 1.40.20. The second one was in the 100-meter free race achieving a new record time of 1.18.35 compared to 1.23.04.

In the presence of the coaching teams and administrative staff of the team, H.E. Khuwaiter Al Dhaheri, Member of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports Games Company and Supervisor of the Individual Games Sector, honored the winners during the training session held on Monday 4th November 2019 at the swimming pool of the Al Tamayoz School.

H.E. Khuwaiter Al Dhaheri availed the opportunity to express his pride and honor with the new records achieved by the conclusion of the Emirates Swimming Championship.

He said: “I am so pleased with these new accomplishments realized by the swimming champions of Al Ain Club. I find myself obliged to extend my sincerest appreciation to the coaching teams and administrative staff of the team for their genuine and highly appreciated efforts that contributed to such tangible development during the recent period. They led the champs of the team to claim new records in the name of our dearest homeland.”

“We had launched customized programs that are put into effect since a good time under the theme “A Champ Project.” The program is dedicated to preparing them to put firm hands over new titles and achievements regionally and internationally during their participation in international events,” he pointed out.

He concluded: “This is one of the fruits of these projects and sights are highly set to achieve more in the future.”

Abdullah Al Darmaki, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company and Supervisor of the Volleyball Sector, expressed his pride and honor in the highly appreciated confidence that H.H. Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Council, First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council & Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, in the teams of the Al Ain Sports Games Company and all members of the Club.

Al Darmaki also thanked all the officials of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council for granting the Al Ain Club the opportunity to host the first edition of the International Volleyball Championship.

“We thank them for all their sincerest efforted they exerted. We believe that the championship was successful by all standards and it is important to go on with supporting such championships and pay them more attention, as well as expanding them in the coming years.”

Al Darmaki stressed that all the teams participated in the championships achieved massive technical gains. “Such sport gatherings are an important for the teams preparations for their leagues and unique chance to play against various schools of volleyball. The Abu Dhabi teams had the chance to play against the Polish, Belarusian and Omani volleyball schools. Indeed, this is for sure serves the best interests of our teams prior the kickoff of the General Volleyball League scheduled to be held in mid-November.”

Al Darmaki said that the championship was also a golden opportunity for the coaching teams of Al Ain Volleyball Team to identify all the points of strengths and weaknesses of the squad prior the kickoff of the league.

“This championship gave the head coach to assess the level of the team’s players and know their level of skills and quality, in addition to the players he needs to have onboard.”

Abdullah Al Darmaki underlined that all officials give Al Ain Volleyball Team receives significant attention and in return the players should push themselves to the limit in match they play. “I hope the players will be up to it and meet the expectations in each game they play wearing the team’s badge and do the needful to serve the best interests of the club.”

Noteworthy, Poland’s Kluzbork Volleyball Team won the title of the first edition of Al Ain International Volleyball Championship after beating Al Ain by 3-0. Oman’s Al Seeb finished third after beating Al Jazira 3-1.

POLAND’S KLUZBORK IS THE CAMPS OF THE 1ST EDITION OF AL AIN INTERNATIONAL VOLLEYBALL TEAM

Poland’s Kluzbork Volleyball Team was crowned with the title of the first edition of Al Ain Volleyball International Championship, beating Al Ain Volleyball Team by 3-0 in the final fervent match held at the purple indoor court at Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium on Friday 1st November 2019.

Following the end of the match, H.E. Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company and Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee, Abdullah Al Darmaki, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company and Director of the Championship, Dr. Ahmed Al Mutawa, Secretary-General of the UAE Volleyball Association, heads of delegations of participating teams, Saleh Al Shouaili and Abdul Aziz Al Junaibi, Board Members of Al Ain Sports Games Company, bestowed the individual awards to winners.
Al Seeb was awarded the third spot cup after beating Al Jazira 3-1.

Supported by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Al Ain International Volleyball Championship witnessed intense competition since its inception on 24th October. Eight teams participated in this championship, namely Al Ain, Al Jazira, Al Wahda, Bani Yas, Al Dhafra, in addition to Oman’s Al Seeb, Energia Gomel of Belarus, and Kluzbork of Poland.

The Boss Volleyball Team VS Poland’s Kluzbork in the Final Match of Al Ain International Championship

Al Ain Volleyball Team has qualified for the final match of Al Ain International Volleyball following beating Oman’s Al Seeb Volleyball Team by 3-1 in the semifinal match held on Thursday 31st October 2019.

Al Ain squad is scheduled to play against Poland’s Kluzbork Volleyball Team, who overcame Al Jazira by 3-2 in the second semifinal match of the competition.

As per the schedule of the championship, two matches would be played at the “Purple Court” at Khalifah Bin Zayed Stadium. The first would be held at 03:00 p.m. for the winner of the third and fourth places. The second and final match is scheduled to be held at 05:00 p.m. between Al Ain and Poland’s Kluzbork.

By the end of the final match, the conclusion ceremony will be held to honor the champions and special individual awards.
