The Al Ain Volleyball Men Team turned the table on the Shabab Al Ahli Team in the playoff match of the Volleyball General League and win the guests by 3-2. The match was held at the indoor court of Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain Club. By this result, the announcement of the champs of the league has been shifted to next Friday.

Al Ain squad did not perform well and Shabab Al Ahli players were able to win the first round by 4-point difference (21-25). In the second round, things changed, and Al Ain squad controlled all the details of this round to finish it by 10-point difference (25-15). The stars of the team did the same in the third round and finished it by 25-16 to their advantage. In the fourth round, the opponents regained their energy and won Al Ain team who lost concentration by 19-25. In the final and decisive fifth round, the Boss warriors proved that they are uneasy team and smashed the opponent by 15-12 ending the match by a great victory 3-2 rounds.

Considering they lost to Shabab Al Ahli in the first leg away match while winning the home match, the Boss deferred the announcement of the league champs until next Friday when both teams play a final match on Friday 19th April 2019 at the indoor court of Al Jazira Club in Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, opened on Tuesday, Cityscape Abu Dhabi, the emirate’s leading property investment and development event, at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The three-day property event is being staged under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

In its 13th edition which runs until 18th April, the international platform for construction and building industry attracts more than 60 national, regional and international developers and suppliers and sees many exhibitors unveiling major new project launches.

Sheikh Hazza, accompanied by a number of members of the Executive Council and government leaders, took a tour of the exhibition during which he viewed the latest property developments.

Later, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, also visited the event.

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, today explored the latest methods developed by the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, ACTVET, for manufacturing furniture using 3D printing, as well as the way it trains Emirati students on this latest global technology, which was developed for the first time in the Middle East.

Sheikh Hazza stated that such advanced technologies were made possible by the efforts of the wise leadership, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their brothers, Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, to enable the ACTVET and other national institutions to create qualified future generations who specialise in various industrial and technological sectors.

He made this statement while inspecting the activities of the 11th EmiratesSkills National Competition, which was organised by the ACTVET from 15th to 17th April in the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, ADNEC, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF).

Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education; Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State; Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State, and others were present.

Sheikh Hazza toured the various pavilions of the competition, which include aircraft maintenance, car maintenance and robot design while Mubarak Al Shamsi, Director-General of the ACTVET, explained, to him, the competition’s programme, mechanisms and conditions, as well as the current and future plans of the competition and its development over 11 years.

The Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council met with 402 Emirati youths participating in the competition in 51 engineering, technological and technical categories, with the participation of leading national institutions, including the Ministry of Education, the Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research, the Institute of Applied Technology, the Fatima College of Health Sciences, the Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute, ADVETI, and various national universities and educational institutions.

The competition will help establish the active role of the youth in achieving the country’s industrial future, which includes all engineering specialisations required to advance the UAE’s present and future, through many development projects that cover many areas, such as renewable energy, space and aerospace, he said.

“We are proud of the spirited competition between the youth, which highlights their capability to compete internationally, creating advanced and creative national generations who are qualified,” he added.

Sheikh Hazza called on the youth to continue their innovative research efforts, which will achieve their local, regional and international scientific aspirations.

Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State, said that the 11th edition of the competition reflects the advanced strategy supported by the wise leadership to create national manpower who are creative and capable of creating the future while highlighting the importance of discovering and training national adequacies and capabilities, and preparing promising generations of creative citizens who are capable of answering the requirements of social development and comprehensive industrial, economic and social advancement.

Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, said that the competition aims to discover and highlight the capabilities and skills of students of all educational institutions while affirming the keenness of the Ministry of Education to increase the number and categories of participating students to include people of determination, children and the youth.

Saleh Nafie Al Suwaidi, Administrative Officer of Al Ain Junior Teams, expressed his sincerest appreciation to Al Ain Club Management for supporting such sporting events as the Volleyball Junior Festival, which contributes significantly to establishing a solid base for all the clubs.

Al Suwaidi stressed that the festival attracted a large number of U-10 players which he considered a great chance to instill the love of the game in the junior players and create a unique atmosphere of familiarity, fun and happiness among the young players. “It is a chance for all of them to exhibit their quality talents and skills and acquire the culture of the game.”

Al Suwaidi availed the opportunity to highly praise the significant level of cooperation among all the participating clubs and technical staff, expressing his profound confidence that the festival has succeeded in achieving the desired goals and that he was so happy by the good technical level shown by the participants in this sport gathering.

Al Ain Sports Games Club organized the U-10 Volleyball Festival which was held at the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain Club on Saturday 13th April 2019. The big sport event was held with the participation of a 20-player teams of Abu Dhabi Clubs: Al Wahda, Bani Yas, Al Jazira and Al Dhafra clubs, in addition to the host Club, Al Ain.

The event was attended by H.E. Mr. Mubarak Hareb Al Nuaimi, Mr. Nasser Al Dein Hamed, Director of Collective Games Department at Al Ain Sports Games Club and Mr. Saleh Nafie Al Suwaidi, Administrative Officer of Al Ain Junior Teams.

Mubarak Al Nuaimi, Board Member of the UAE Volleyball Association, commended the efforts made by Al Ain Club Management to ensure the success of such sport events dedicated to the volleyball game. “It is a great opportunity to raise awareness of this game, urge junior players to practice it with the ultimate goal to have a promising generation of volleyball players.”

Al Nuaimi stressed the importance of cooperation among all clubs to hold such big events in order to achieve the common goals aimed at caring for young players and creating a promising generation of volleyball and sports in general.

(WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has sent a message of condolences to Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation, AFC, on the death of his mother.

Sheikh Hazza expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the family of the deceased, praying to Allah the Almighty to rest her soul in Paradise and to grant patience and solace to her family.

H.E. Saleh Al Shouaili, Board Member of Sports Games Company and Supervisor of Handball Sector pointed out the team is improving progressively but it might be up to the expectations. “We are improving in terms of performance and might not be in the required manner. However, it still better than the previous season and this is due to the inexperienced players in the squad.”

Al Shouaili underlined that the team lost certain matches due to the factor of lack of experience of certain player, in addition to low level of physical fitness due to their pre-commitment with their full-time jobs and this justifies why lose our matches in the dying minutes.

Meanwhile, Al Shouaili hailed the dedicated efforts paid by the coaching team and the Bosnian professional player, Isaac, during the past period. “We are generally happy and satisfied by the team’s performance. They did their best in the recent championship this season, i.e. the President’s Cup.”

On the other hand, the team’s resumed their training sessions in preparation for their clash match of the Vice-President’s Cup against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai scheduled to be held on Thursday 10th April at the indoor court of Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium. The sessions were featured by seriousness and discipline and conducting focusing on certain tactics as the coaching team and players are aiming to improve the team’s current position on the standing table and move forward from the 5th spot by adding more points to their balance of 25 points.

Al Ain Volleyball Men Team qualified to the final match of the Volleyball League following replicating their victory over by Bani Yas in the second leg match of the play off stage by 3-1. The match was held at the indoor court of Bani Yas Club in Abu Dhabi.

Noteworthy, Al Ain Team won Bani Yas in the first leg match by the same result.

Al Ain Volleyball Team is scheduled to play against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai Team on Friday 12th April 2019 at the indoor court of Shabab Al Ahli Dubai Club. The return match is scheduled to be held on 16th April 2019 at the indoor court of Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain Club.

H.E. Khuwaiter Saeed Al Dhaheri, Board Member of Al Ain Sports Games Club and Supervisor of Individual Games, hailed Al Ain Club’s swimmer, Mohammed Rashid Al Kuwaiti, for winning the silver medal for the UAE Swimming Team participating the Middle East Junior Championship which kicked off last Thursday at the Hamdan Sports Complex.

Noteworthy, Al Kuwaiti clinched the silver medal of the championships adding a new achievement to the record of the UAE National Team.

Al Dhaheri pointed out that all Al Kuwaiti’s achievement is the culmination of hard efforts throughout the period of training and his high aspirations to achieve this high level of professionalism. “They player did well during the past period and spare no efforts to win the silver medal. Al Ain club also spares no efforts to support the team and the payers to raise the UAE’s flag in international events. The coaching teams work hard to help boosting the performance of the future Olympic champs in swimming and other sports.”

Al Ain Jujitsu Team clinched the title of the third edition of the President Cup held at the indoor court of Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi.

Al Ain Team were able to maintain the title during the previous rounds of the competition, while the Al Ain Men and Junior Teams held the second pot in the competitions.

Noteworthy, the rules of the championship have been amended to split the teams to youth, junior and men following they were only one team during the past two editions of the championship in which the Boss won its titles.
