Mohammed Shamal, player of Al Ain volleyball first team, has stressed his team’s readiness to defeat Bani Yas with the aim of topping the Group A of the Vice President Cup.
He hailed the efforts exerted by his teammates in the previous game against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai. Shamal said “although there were many injuries and absences, the team was able to win and topped the group.”
Tomorrow’s game against Bani Yas will not be easy, especially that the rivals have a very good team, Shamal said, pointing out that the Garden City Club is fully ready for the game.
He noted that the cup title is very important for the team as it’s the first tournament in the season, stressing that it will be a very good motivation to clinch the other titles.
Al Ain volleyball first team wrapped up preparations for the game against Bani Yas in the third leg of the Group A of the Vice-President cup, to be played at Al Wasl Club in Dubai.
The Boss aims at topping the group, as the rivals have the same number of points.
The team’s training session, attended by Abdullah Juma Al Darmaki, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Club, Saleh Al Shaili, Board Member and Team administrative Abdullah Zwaid, was held at the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain Club.
During the training session, the coach focused on some important points, including the strong defense.
Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports Club has honored the Jiu-jitsu players of the Garden City Club and the UAE who wrapped up their participation in the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games Ashgabat 2017 with a tally of medals.
The Al Ain players have been awarded six medals in the tournament as Talib Saleh Al-Krabi clinched a gold medal, Zayed Obaid Al Kaabi, Zayed Saif Al Mansouri and Muza Ali Al Shamsi won silver medals, and Obaid Salem Al Nuaimi and Bashayer Faris Al Matroushi got bronze medals.
Abdullah Juma Al Darmaki, deputy Chairman of Al Ain Sports Company, has congratulated the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation for the achievements in the regional tournament and hailed the strong performance of the UAE players in the continental tournament.
Al Darmaki called on the Jiu-jitsu players to double efforts to show their best during the coming period with the club and the national team, raising the UAE flag high.
The honoring ceremony was attended by Board members Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Jenaibi, Saleh Saeed Al Sha’eeli and Khuwaiter Saeed Al Dhaheri as well as the coaching staff of Al Ain Jiu-jitsu team.

The second the Abu Dhabi Business Forum 2017 stresses integration and cooperation between the public sector and the private one in Abu Dhabi to support the economy and the sustainable development, Sheikh Hazza tweeted.
Hosting more than 1,000 personalities, the forum is inspired by the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces to achieve effective cooperation between the different sectors, the Sheikh added.
Themed “Partners for sustainable development”, the second edition of the forum kicked off on Monday, under the patronage of Sheikh Hazza, at Jumeirah Hotel.
The Abu Dhabi Business Forum 2017 aims at strengthening the strategic partnership between the public sector and the private one in Abu Dhabi as well as overcoming all the challenges of the private sector in the emirate.
Such would increase the contribution of the private sector to GDP and enhance its role in the comprehensive and sustainable economic development process in Abu Dhabi under the wise leadership of the UAE.
Al Ain Volleyball First Team defeated Shabab Al Ahli Dubai 3/1 in the second leg of Group A games of the Vice President Cup.
Defeating the Dubai-based team in the game played at Al Jazeera Club, the Boss is very close to qualify to the semi-finals.
The line-up of the team for the game was chosen by the Argentina’s Head Coach of Al Ain Joseph to include Mohammed Shamal, Majid Thani, Khamis Abdullah, the Serbian Vladimir, Mohammed Salem Al Badi, Rashid Al Azizi, Saeed Ali Hamoud, Adel Atta, Salim Jowhar and Hazza Salem.
The Garden City Club now hit the sixth point, clinching the top of Group A. The team is expected to face Bani Yas Club who also has 6 points in their balance on 6th October.
Al Ain Men’s Handball Team lost their game against their rival Al Sharjah Team 19/26 in the Handball Premiere League game.
The first half score was 13/9 for the guests.
The Garden City Club looks forward to clinch win in its game against Al Jazeera in a game to be played on October 14 at the Indoor Sports Hall of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.

Al Ain Volleyball Men Team was able to win their first match against Hatta by clean three rounds in Vice President’s Cup Week1 held at Al Wasl Volleyball Court in Dubai.
Al Ain team dominated the whole match since the kickoff whistle till the end whistle and results of the three rounds were as follows: 25-19, 25-23 and 25-21.

Al Ain Handball Men Team commenced their journey in the Handball League with a deservedly victory over the Al Wasl Club by 22-19 in the match held in Sheikh Rashed Bin Maktoum Court in Al Wasl Club in Dubai in the league week 1.
Al Ain Team dominated the first had and took the lead by 12-9, and was able to progress in the second half during which the team was able to protect their back nets from a number of serious attacks. Ahmad Salem and Mubarak Abdul Rahman were stars in significantly defending the nets of the team till the end of the match by a great result 22-19.
