Taleb Al Kerbi, player of Al Ain and National Jujitsu Team, expressed his deepest pleasure to win the silver medal in the Asian Games. “This is my debut in ASIAD and we all aspire to put firm hands on the gold medals in ASIAD Tokyo 2020 to maintain our spearhead place at the level of Asia,” stated he.
Al Kerbi stressed: “My ambition was to win the gold medal but lost only two points in the final confrontation in the 69kg.”
He concluded by stating: “I would like to thank the management of Al Ain Sports Games Company for celebrating the achievements of the champs. Definitely, this motivates all my teammates to achieve more at the level of the national team and club.”
Maha Al Hana’i, player of Al Ain and National Jujitsu Team, expressed her pleasure to win the silver medal in the Asian Games held in Indonesia last month.
“I would like to thank the management of Al Ain Sports Games Company for honoring the champs. I am so determined to win more medals in the coming championships of the club and the national team,” she stated.
Commenting on a question on her preparations that contributed to winning her medal, she said: “I lost weight prior to the tournament dates to participate in the 49kg category. I succeeded to show my potentials on debut and crowning my efforts by winning the silver medal.”
H.E. Khamis Obaid Al Ka’abi, Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company, honored the champs of Al Ain Club and UAE National Jujitsu Team who won medals in the Asian Games “ASIAD” held in Jakarta last month. The players were honored prior the kickoff of the match of Al Ain against Al Dhafra in Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.
Taleb Al Kerbi, Khaled Iskandar, and Mahra Al Hana’i won 3 silver medals during the Jujitsu competition. Their achievements led the UAE team to spearhead the Asian Games in Jujitsu game which becomes part of the ASIAD for the first time.
The players were received by Al Ain’s fans enthusiastically who attended the match in appreciation for their efforts boosting the UAE’s reputation.
The ceremony was attended by H.E. Khuwaiter Al Zaheri, Board Member of Al Ain Sports Games Company and Supervisor of Individual Games, and H.E. Abdul Aziz Al Junaibi, Board Member and Administrative Affairs Supervisor, and Ahmed Sultan, Sports Manager at the company.
Al Ain Handball Men Team lost to Al Wasl by 20-23 in the match held at Al Wasl Club indoor court as part of the preliminary rounds of the UAE Cup League.
The first half ended by the home team taking the lead by 10-8.
In preparation for the Vice-President’s Cup, Al Ain Volleyball First Team defeated Oman Volleyball National Team by 3-1 in the friendly match held at the indoor court of Khalifa Stadium in Al Ain Club.
Al Ain’s stellar performance in the first round made them finish it by 26-24 in their favour, but the Omani team went back in the second round to win it by 25-23. The Boss stars were determined to win the third round and they did it to finish it by 25-22. The last and fourth round ended in favour for Al Ain 25-22.
By the end of the match, H.E. Abdullah Al Darmaki, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company, awarded Al Ain’s honorary shield to the Omani Head of Delegation and Team Manager, Issa Al Bloushi.
Al Ain Frist Basketball Team has kicked off their new season preparations with the first match of the Vice President’s Cup they are scheduled to play against Al Dhafra Basketball Team on 23rd September 2018.
The team is playing this season under the command of Syrian head coach Majd Mohammed and Alzeer Rashid Al Neyyadi, Team Manager. The team squad includes: Suleiman Abu Baker Suleiman, Salem Moqibl, Hamad El Shriani, Salem Mohammed El Attas, Talal Nofan Oriqat, soud Alzeer Al Neyyadi, Fouad Dada, Dominque Jerod, Lee Boyed, Robarts and Gary Springer.
From his part, the Team Manager Alzeer Rashid Al Neyyadi stressed that the main goal of returning to the league is regain the prominent position of the Ainawi Team and to win new titles. “We will strive hard this season to restore the team’s identity and instill feelings of confidence in the Boss players,” he said.
He added that the Board of Al Ain Sports Games Company has furnished all grounds and sources to help the team reinstate their leading position in the UAE basketball.
(WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has attended a ceremony held for the wedding of Khalifa Mohamed Mattar Salim bin Abed Al Ka’bi, to the daughter of Daham Al Fendi Rashid Al Mazrouei.
The ceremony, which was held at the Armed Forces Officers Club in Abu Dhabi, included traditional songs and folk arts, in the presence of a number of state officials.

Sheikh Hazza said that the nine medals earned by UAE athletes during the 18th Asian Games, hosted by the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, recently, provide a substantial evidence on the development of this sport, which, thanks to the follow-up of Sheikh Mohamed, has become an integral part of youth edutainment culture in the UAE, Arab region, and the world.
Al Ain Sports Games Company has officially announced contracting with Sydney Luciano as the new head coach of Al Ain Volleyball First Team and his country man Costa. The official announcement was made during a press conference held in Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium dedicated to introducing the head coach and player to media representatives.
The press conference was attended by H.E. Abdullah Al Darmaki, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company, Ahmad Sultan Al Nuaimi, Sports Director of Al Ain Sports Games Company, Abdullah Zwayyed Al Nuaimi, Al Ain Volleyball First Team Manager, and Nasr Eldien, Sports Manager.
H.E. Abdullah Al Darmaki, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company delivered a welcoming speech where he expressed his pleasure to have the new Brazilian head coach onboard. “I am sure that the new head coach will be able to achieve the team’s aspirations based on his past experiences with the Colombian National Team and his Gulf experience with Bahrain’s Dar Koliab Volleyball Team and his remarkable achievement by winning GCC Volleyball Cup,” said Al Darmaki.
Additionally, l Darmaki announced that Al Ain Volleyball Team has already signed a contract with Ricardo Beislin as Assistant Head Coach. Ricardo has worked with Bazile’s National Volleyball Team and Bazile’s Tabata Volleyball Team and this will have positive impact on the team in terms of stability. He also announced that the team has signed a contract with Brazil’s Costa who was playing to Bahrain’s Al Najma and was playing to Brazil’s Universities Volleyball National Team and Brazil’s Junior Volleyball National Team.
Al Ain Club held on Saturday 8th Sep. the third training workshop of Al Ain Group hosting the two groups of the AFC Asia Cup UAE 2019 at Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium and Hazza bin Zayed Stadium. The workshop was held in the presence of H.E. Sultan Al Motawaa, Director of Hazza bin Zayed Group, and H.E. Sultan Rashid, Director of Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium Group, and members of various committees.
The agenda of the third training workshop focused on how communications, coordination and follow-up processes, and the importance of introducing new ideas and proposals to be tackled in detail in the coming workshops planned to be held in the very near future.
The attendees recommended to increase the number of workshops and training courses dedicated for volunteers and expanding promotions campaigns of the championship scheduled to be held in UAE in January 2019. Recommendations also focused on attracting more volunteers to take advantage of their services and potentials specially that the Asian Cup UAE 2019 is expected to receive a great attention by the global media, given the fact that UAE achieved significant successes in organizing numerous international and regional championships.
